Great novel ice cream experience. Choose your size, your ice cream, and your Mixin (topping).
Service was quite slow when I went bc there was only the owner working. All his employees were on Valentine's dates. Owner was very friendly.
Combo I had: chocolate hazelnut w/ crunch bar. Pretty awesome combo. A must try for chocolate lovers.
Tip: if u want it in a cup, but still want your cone. Just ask for it. They will gladly give it to u. -

Everytime I'm in the area of Steveston, count me in for ice cream, any season of the year.
My personal favourites are the Snickerdoodle & Candylicious. Anything w/ these chocolate bars: Snickers, Crispy Krunch, & Skor is dandy in my books!
The staff here is more patient than the DT or Broadway location, probably due to less crowds. Willing to let you sample 3-4 times before you decide. I rarely order the waffle, prefer to eat from the bowl size. Think it tastes better ;)
It's not cheap by any stretch but well worth the taste. Personally, i but the 1 litre, it's a lot better value, and nice to have this stashed away for those stay-at-home nights ;)
plenty of free parking. -

I've been to this place twice already. I've enjoyed the bubble gum ice cream and the coconut ice cream. The ice cream scooper girls have been very friendly and helpful on both occations, but when I went to the east indian cashier to pay, she seemed so cold. No smile at all, just a blank expression and she just stared at me. It seemed that she didn't want to be there, or all she cared was to collect the money. Makes me feel a bit uncomfortable to go back again. But, who knows maybe she's got depresson, or not making enough sales. I'll wear my dark sunglasses next time I go in.
Also, if I were to choose between Marble Slab and Cold Stone Creamery......I would totally go for Cold Stone Creamery. Cold Stone's selections are better, prices are better, and the cashiers are friendly. -

Coffee Ice cream mashed together with Score candy..... come on... It's so ridiculously good and makes me smile on a sunny day.

Black walnut and white chocolate mixed together with skor bits....creamy, crunchy, with the rich flavour of the walnut...served in a waffle cone. My flavours of choice, my 'mixin' of choice.
The cone was a bit stale though, kinda soft, but it's supposed to be crunchy?!
There are other unique flavours here such as birthday cake, sweet cream, and amaretto. The only downside is that it only comes it one 'mixin' and any additional ones are extra.
My large size one is basically 4 scoops of ice cream, which was a lot for one to finish.
Note to self: share one next time!Listed in: Summer Treats.

Maybe it's because i had Cold Stone Creamery before trying this place, and hence i already have the Cold Stone expectation. But yes, this place is nothing compared to the Cold Stone, it doesn't have that much flavours to choose from, and it doesn't have sugar-free ice creams.
For the same value I only got 1 scoop here, while i get a mini watermelon at cold stone... besides quantity... the customer service here can be better... the ice cream girls were nice and clearly explained how it works, but the cashier was pretty cold... -

Want waffle cone but want to take it home? Get a Waffle Bowl! But it doesn't have a lid, so come with someone to hold it, or big enough cupholders in your car. RAV4's adjustable ones worked well :)
I like how I can add a topping (I always get Oreos) to any flavour ice cream. However, it's not WOW!! enough to increase my ice cream-eating frequency.
I've heard Marble Slab being compared to Cold Stone Creamery. Personally, I can't tell the difference. If I HAD to choose, I would say I like Marble Slab better than what I vaguely remember of Cold Stone. I think that may be because I went to a "slash" location that was more Tim Hortons, though.
