I was alittle skeptical at first

First there wasn't anyone in the restaurant besides the hostess we sat down she took our drink orders of which they only currently have coke, diet coke, sprite, iced tea and water; no alcoholic beverages due to not having their liquor licenses .

We ordered, I had the eggplants parmesan  and she ordered the angel hair with chicken and banana pepper (Alfredo esk) sauce

Both dinners were delicious I had quite a bit of hers LOL, neither of us could finish our dinners due to the portions

The meals were all very well priced

The only pointers that I could give would be to have the rather large specials board to have an insert in the menu and for there to be music playing in the background just alittle to quiet kinda felt like we had to whisper.

Can't wait to try Mama Rosa's again. The Veal Sicilian sounds delectable

Ding ding ding!!  We have a winner in Niagara Falls, NY!!

FINALLY.  And it's right down the street from work!

Very well prepared Italian food.  Stuffed hot banana peppers?  Oh Yeahhh.

3 huge peppers arrived on a bed of field greens drizzled with olive oil and a mighty sprinkling of freshly grated parmesan cheese.  Peppers were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of blue cheese in the mix.  DELICIOUS.

My chicken caesar arrived looking really fresh and pretty with grape tomatoes, olives and 3 huge slices of grilled chicken breast.  Bear got the alfredo and it was excellent....super rich and creamy and had really good depth of flavor.

We got to talking to one of the servers and he kept bringing us food to try...including 2 slices of pizza and two stuffed cherry peppers.  YUM to both.

The owners are the same as when it was Just Pizza, but dropped the franchise and added a very nice dining room.

You can still walk in and get hot slices and wings to go...

Hands down blows away the Como and Chef's.

I highly recommend!!  Stop in.  It's right on the corner of Military and NFB.

Service was a bright spot in an otherwise mediocre dining experience.

My (Italian-American) grandma saw Mama Rosa's on a local morning show and wanted to give them a shot, so we went for dinner on a Wednesday evening. We were there relatively early (right around 5) and the place was mostly empty.

There are a lot of interesting sounding specials, but ultimately the food quality was that of a pizza place trying to be a restaurant. An earlier reviewer, Mary G., is either affiliated with the restaurant or smoking crack when she says that it "blows away the Como and Chef's".

We started with the Artichokes Francese off the appetizer section of the typo-ridden menu. The artichokes were good, although unlike any francese-style I've had in the past. Very garlicky but cooked well and both tasty and plentiful.

The entrees were underwhelming at best. I ordered Sal's Chicken Pepperoni and my grandma tried the Veal Siciliano off the specials blackboard in the back of the restaurant. Aside from the food quality (which I'll get to in a moment) I was peeved when my dish arrived with a plethora of green peppers which weren't listed as an ingredient on the menu. Luckily I'm not allergic, but I do actively dislike green peppers and never would have ordered a dish with them had I known.

The Chicken Pepperoni consisted of small chunks of plain cooked chicken thrown in with some barely-heated pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and the hated green peppers. It was served over my pasta of choice (rigatoni) and served in a bland marinara. The sauce was just okay and both the mushrooms and chicken just tasted like pizza toppings. The pepperoni added a nice spicy flavor to the dish but the individual pepperoni slices were warm and soggy--not really well cooked--which made biting into them a little gross.

I tried the sicilian veal, and it was overwhelmed with breading. I wasn't even positive I had veal in my first bite so I cut off a piece from the middle, but it was just the way it'd been prepared. My grandma finished her pasta (despite not being crazy about the sauce) but barely touched the veal.

The portions were huge, especially for the low price, but despite having enough leftovers to last a week neither of us had any desire to keep them. (We gave them to my brother, who will eat anything with no regard for quality).

We were both extremely disappointed to have wasted a dinner out together on a restaurant that didn't come close to meeting expectations. All said, I wouldn't go back again. The food wasn't completely awful, but there are just too many really fantastic Italian restaurants in the area to bother with one that is just so-so.
