A nice place, friendly staff and decent offerings all round.

Only real issue (and potential challenge) is parking. It's on a one-way street that goes the "wrong" way @ Gerrard, so if you're driving, plan in advance, there's also very limited to no street parking on Gerrard immediately around this location

This neighborhood place finally opened in October, after we watched it being renovated all summer.  We just got there this weekend, and were really disappointed.

It's a really nice spot and they obviously spent a lot of thought and money in decorating it.  There is local art on the wall.

The pastry looks very good, and everything is shiny and new.  BUT, it's an espresso bar, right?  You'd think the coffee would be good.  My wife and I both had lattes, hers decaf and mine regular.  We were both very disappointed...in fact, we couldn't finish them.  I can't recall when that's ever happened before.  I'm not sure what it was...low quality beans, inexperienced barista...I'm just not sure.

    Very disappointing...

(By the way, it's very easy to miss.  The logo design makes it look like "MAVO" (see photo), there is no parking close by, and the sign is easy to overlook.)
