Following my dim sum gorging escapade at Wah Court, I skipped on over to the modest looking bakery next door. Majestic Bakery is a bakery... I think? Or at least one side of it is. The other side looks like a gift shop in the making. Keep an eye out, Windsorites!
Back to the bakery, that was clearly designed for a grab-and-go operation.
Egg tarts. Mooncakes. Pineapple buns. Lotus seed buns. Wife cakes. Peanut buns. Taro buns. Cream buns. Coconut buns. And so on and so forth.
Decisions, decisions. What does a bakery sucker (translate: yours truly) do? Purchase one of each, of course -- minus the meat-filled buns. The grand total? Thirteen whopping dollars.
Of course, prices should not be the sole determining factor of five glowing stars here on Yelp. Hearty in filling and bold in flavor, everything was scrumptious. Mooncakes can be a hit or miss, but thankfully, MB knows how to put out some mean ones as they were meaty and hefty.
The owner was pleasant and welcoming. He was also patient enough to put up with my indecision as well as my questioning of what fillings were in certain buns.
Truly a hidden gem in Windsor's "Chinatown."
