Review from Chris P.
I have found my new favorite tea shop!
I found myself in Leslieville and randomly happened to walk past Majesteas. I thought to myself wow what a cute name! So I ventured on in.
Both people behindthe counter smiled and greeted me warmly. I asked where do they have some balck tea and I was directed to the black tea wall. The employee explianed there are jars to sniff and made a recommendation of one of thier more popular ones. She then left me to browse on my own.
I really prefer it when tea shops have thier sniff jars out with the tea display. It just makes everything so much easier when you don't have to fight with tons of other customers for the counterperson's attention to ask for a sniff sample when they are kept behind the counter.
Thier black tea selection is excellent, I sniffed almost all of them and went with a strawberry-esque one. It is indeed delish! I' actually nursing a mug of it right now while I'm writing this.
I also saw that they have several tea accessories, gift boxes and really cute looking mugs. I will deifnitely return to pick up some Xmas gifts here and probobly find a few things for myself while I'm at it!Listed in: Movember Yelp Style!

Majesteas is a lovely tea shop in Leslieville. You can pop in for a brewed cup, or buy a tin to gift to someone. It is a little expensive, but the tea is of really high quality. There are samples available so you can sniff them all before you choose. The staff lets you happily browse and smell the teas without bother.
Staff is super friendly and helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. There are alot of accessories for sale, and combos if you are looking for a gift bundle. They also have a loyalty program.
The Leslieville Picnic blend makes the best iced tea I have ever had, with green tea and strawberry and papaya. so fantastic.
Out of all of the speciality tea shops, this is my favourite. Worth a visit.Listed in: Leslieville, Riverdale &…, Leslieville Proper

A great spot to stock up on teas in the area. This small shop is run by knowledgeable staff who are willing to geek out with you about tea. There are a few seats to enjoy your cuppa with a few sweet treats (some gluten-free options available). The decor is modern with apple greens against dark wood.
My favourite tea from Majesteas is the Osmanthus Oolong. With a sweet and lightly fruity scent, this tea is excellent for all occasions.Listed in: Leslieville for the Foodie

I smell almost Every single tea at Majesteas tea and have fun doing that! :)
Friendly staffs and storeowner! Just love little establishment like Majesteas.
The tea selections really from around the World: China, Japan, India and more... of course there are herbal tea available too....
I also sample the Tea of the Day which is an Irish Blend... strong and dark with a malty flavour... but I settled for a Asaam White instead.
They have this Loyaltea program which is good if you are a regulars!
Majesteas for sure is a great tea shop, drop by next time when you are in the area...and smell some tea!! :)Listed in: Loose Leaf Teas!, A Day in Leslieville!

Majesteas has a similar setting to other franchise Tea provider but compared to DavidsTea there is something that the friendly staff repeated to me a few times.
"Feel free to take a smell of the Tea" which applies to this place much more because the Tea tins are not behind the staff's counter. This means you can get much more hands on without having to constantly make request for smells and also take your time to enjoy and browse rather than rush your experience if another guest is looking for one of the staff to serve them.
I got Lapsang Souchong($2 or so) to try because I've always been curious and when I smell the strongest notes of BBQ smoke, it even gave me more reason to try. Let's just say it's not a tea for everyone but I chose it based on the DETAILED descriptions on the tins and bags themselves which DavidsTea is dependant on your server if you're lucky enough for your turn.Comment from Ian M. of Majesteas 7/5/2011

I was here today - I ordered an iced tea (a great day for it, considering the sunny weather). The tea was notably a bit tart, they did have honey and sugar, but an ideal solution would have been simple syrup for their iced teas. Maybe next time. They seemed to have a nice selection of loose leaf teas, which I might have checked out, if I hadn't been gifted some from my fabulous 'rents...
