Four of us had the buffet and it was decent.  The gravy on the chicken curry was fabulous and I fell in love with the curried eggs.  The raita left a lot to be desired, but other than that, I think it was fairly standard Indian fare.

I don't love this place, nor do I hate it.

I wouldn't give it more than this.  I entered d hotel to have dinner.  They had buffet and it looked horrible.  All vegetables had oil floating on them.  I wouldn't dare to even try it.

We came for dinner, not buffet.

It was a Saturday night, off season, but with at least one convention nearby (mine!).  They were definitely not prepared for the volume of people that arrived.  Mind ye, this volume really was only about 4-6 tables.  The service was VERY slow.  They were quick to take our order and bring us water, the appetizer came about 15 minutes later and the food probably a half hour after that.  A friend of ours ordered takeout and was standing there waiting at least a half hour to 45 minutes before it was done.

That said, when the food came it was very good.  We had the fish curry, shahi paneer, and aloo gobi for main courses, with vegetable pakora appetizer and chapati & paratha to go with the meal.

The pakora were pretty standard but tasty.  Same with the breads.  We actually couldn't tell the difference between the chapati and the paratha.  They didn't have naan, which to me was slightly disappointing but not a huge deal.  We didn't order rice.

The entrees do not come with rice at all, which is very unusual for indian restaurants where I have eaten in the past, I do not know if it is the standard for this area.  However, all of the entrees were quite tasty and we had no complaints over the food once it actually arrived.

My advice is, order takeout by calling ahead and then come about 45 minutes later to pick it up!  I'll be here in town for a week so maybe I will try to try their buffet, since that should be faster.

We were really surprised by the amount of Indian restaurants that existed in Niagara Falls, pleasantly surprised that is. It meant we didn't have to settle for crappy overpriced American food.

Based on the reviews on Yelp, we chose Maharaja. Boy, it didn't disappoint. Buffet selection was great, food was very tasty and a bit spicy. Only drawback: no beer.

If you care about eating authentic Indian cuisine then you need look no further. This is hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I have ever eaten at. As someone who has been to India, makes Indian food at home and has a great appreciation for their food I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Niagara Falls. The food is served buffet style and even though they say they take credit cards they clearly prefer cash. This however is a minor complaint.

After a later than expected arrival to Niagara Falls, boyfriend and I set out for food and found that this place was one of the only places open (it was 9:30 or so, I believe), and luckily we were both in the mood for Indian food.

We did not have the buffet.  I think that it was all cleaned up by the time we got there.  Between the two of us, we shared an order of paratha, chicken tikka masala, and rice.  The paratha was pretty good.  The tikka masala was also good, but could have been more flavorful.  There were plenty of chicken pieces to be had, and we had just enough for the two of us.

We also had a sweet lassi, which was pretty good. It was my first time sampling the drink, b but boyfriend said he could make it better.  And then we had some kheer for dessert.  It wasn't very sweet and was topped off with ground ginger, which I wasn't too fond of.

Our server was very nice and the bill plus tip was a bit over $30.

We kinda just ate here because it was open late and close to our hotel. The restaurant is inside of a cute, little old Victorian (?) style house. Food is served buffet style, with all-you-can-eat option, by-weight options, and by-weight take away too.

I was happy to see there are many vegetarian dishes offered. The bummer was that all of them have ghee (dairy) in them, so that didn't work out for little ol' vegan me. But I am SO super grateful that the very considerate employee there checked with the kitchen for me. I ended up buying a side of basmati rice and ate it with my emergency aseptic packet of Tasty Bite Indian food in my hotel room. Food eaten from a sack is never yummy but I thank god that at least the rice was something fresh. It took the meal from horrible to palatable.

My omnivorous boyfriend did enjoy his buffet meal, saying it was very spicy and a bit oily, but def. good enough to be a standout place on 6th Street in NYC, where there are like a million Indian places. When we were there all of the other guests were Indian or Indian American, so maybe that says something about the authenticity of the food. But it possibly just says something about how many Indian folks visit Niagara Falls-- which we noticed is A LOT.

This review is for the buffet only.

To start off with, there was 1 chicken curry, 1 egg curry and 4 vegetarian entrees including staples like kofta curry, aloo gobi and rajma. There is also some salad, raita, rice kheer and rice. Steaming hot and fresh off the pan rotis are served to your table.

The food was actually very good. Not the kind of heavy and rich curries you get in regular restaurants, it looked and tasted more home made. The only thing you can order a la carte are the Biryanis, vegetable, chicken, shrimp and goat for around 10 bucks.

We ate here today (labor day weekend) and loved it. Buffet was 12.96 per person. They do allow take out, seems it is 6 or 7 dollars a pound. Overall a good experience. Indian food lovers will enjoy the place, just beware the spicyness...I was taken aback at first, but its still yummy and highly recommended.

Edit : Went back here for lunch on our second day, slight variation in Menu, they offered a couple of different veggie items, and they were all good. We also ordered a Shrimp Biryani and we loved it. It was well-spiced but not too spicy. The serving was pretty big as well. Overall a great restaurant!
