Review from Calamity L.
I adored Mme Gigi's confiserie. Oddly enough, there was none of the gelato mentioned by the other reviewers--perhaps they only have it in the summer? What drew us in was the colourful display of chocolates for Paques. The chocolates we tasted were so good we ended up going most afternoons for a bol de latte and a sweet, and my mother purchased eleven chocolate bears to take home to people as souvenirs! The woman who worked there was unfailingly sweet and smiling.

The gelato here isn't bad, but it's not the best. With that in mind, it's a sure bet to satisfy your sugar craving when you're in the area.
Overall this place looks q bit dingy and in serious need of a good cleaning. The server seemed a bit rude and not to eager to help customers, but I'll chalk that up to a long day of dealing with tourists. -
Review from Earlene C.
We were lured in by the macarons in the window. Not sure about the other desserts, but I give this place four stars! One for each of the 4 varieties of macarons we tried - White Chocolate, Cafe, Cherry and Strawberry! I enjoyed the cafe maroon the best.

I took my sweet tooth with me from New York City to Québec City, Canada!
Gelato galore with lots interesting yet weird flavors, a small cup is CAN $3.50. It's just right as it's not too sweet or bland. A lot of their gelatos have nuts, which I am not a big fan of nuts. -

I am a big fan of gelato. Usually when I go to Europe my trips involve strolling down a busy street eating gelato and this is no different... ok fine it is North America not Europe but you get the idea.
You like Gelato, you should visit. that simple. -

Nice little place for gelato at the end of rue Petit-Champlain in Basse Ville (lower town). Stop in a get the medium size, but ask for 2 scoops and try 2 different flavors. Then, sit outside at the small table and watch the tourist and shoppers walk by.
