The best baked goods I have ever eaten in my life. I usually buy them with a couple of other people so we can get 3 or 4 different things and split them up between all of us. The brownie is more like fudge than other brownies, so I'd recommend sharing it, but it is one of the greatest things you can put in your mouth. The peanut butter rice krispie squares, orange blondies, pecan squares, cupcakes, cookies... everything is so good your entire body feels an almost narcotic kind of delight. THESE DESSERTS MAKE ME HAPPY.
I want them all.
The mac and cheese is also quite delicious. And they have greg's ice cream.
This place is my favourite. It puts dufflet's to shame.

I am in strolling down Roncesvalles when it hits me... I NEED a cupcake!
I walked in and told the delightful woman behind the counter this and she pointed me to the cupcake tray.
Sadly the selection wasn't the best and they only had chocolate with vanilla frosting and vanilla with strawberry frosting. I got the chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting and to tell you the trust I found it too sweet.
I did think it was awesome that they have a cupcake club that allows you to collect stamps towards free cupcakes!

While the baked goods and bread are delicious here, I also love this place for their wide selection of prepared gourmet food. They have ready-made quiches, lentil loaf, lasagna and a variety of salads. I recommend their special bags of granola - nice, fresh and full of nuts/seeds - about $5.

I ordered my daughter's 2nd Birthday Cake from Mabel's & I have to tell you that this was the most amazing Birthday Cake I have ever had in my whole life (Orange Cake with Orange Flavour Cream Cheese Icing).
Mabel is THE BAKERY FOR ME.

Oh so innocently walking was I, when out of the corner of my eye I saw them, the little cakes of gluttony, scrumptious cupcakes lined up on a plate.
"I must have one," I thought, and went immediately inside and purchased one. A vanilla bean cupcake with vanilla butter cream icing.
I knew I would enjoy it before I even took my first bite because the icing was equal in depth to the actual cake! Plus it's butter cream, which as sweet-toothers know gets this sort of distinct crunchy coating on it and then WHOOOOSH! Pure. Creamy. Sweetness.
This was the case... and yet, mine is a tragic tale.
I bought it, starting walking and ate it on my way to catch the streetcar. It was too rushed! Three bites and it was gone! And as soon as that last sweet cakey ball of precious dessert was past the taste threshold and on its way down my esophagus I sighed, long and loud so that the others on the streetcar sort of looked at me strangely, because I knew it would be a while before I could have access to another.

I recently needed a cake for a bridal shower and after shopping around for best value I ended up picking Mabels.
It was a bit of a shot in the dark as there wasn't much info on this new bakery.
Well.......was I pleasantly suprised!!! Beautifully decorated cake!
The price was great for this large cake that served at least 20-25 ppl.
As for the cake itself -it was a HIT! It had that fresh, made-from-scratch wholesome taste which is hard to come by these days. ( I ordered the lemon cake)
Oh and by the way I tried one of their chocolate cupcakes. It was the best i've ever had! The icing was incredible it actually tasted as if it had real melted chocolate right in it! Amazing!!
I have found my go-to bakery!
