The main thing Lynn Valley Centre has going for it is how it packs a bunch of essential stores into a very compact, rapid shopping experience. Usually I do my weekly shop at the Park & Tilford Save On closer to my house, but if I have library books to take back or I need to pick up wine/beer, the Lynn Valley mall is perfect. There's Kin's for your produce, Westlynn Bakery for bread, Westlynn Meats & Seafood for fresh fish & specialty meats, a health food store that stocks my fave shampoo, the liquor store (apparently now open until 9pm!), and also the smallest, most inconveniently sized Save On Foods in the world. Luckily, by the time I get to Save On, I've already bought most of what I need, so I don't have to spend too much time in there.
Then it's just a quick walk over to the library and my errands are done. -

It's time for this mall to take a serious look at doing a serious upgrade. The pet store in there needs to clean up. It's a pet store for goodness sake! The tanks are dirty, the sales counter is hiding behind 2 aquariums and there's wires hanging from the ceiling. I let my kids per the cats because they're stuck in little cages and it's probably good for them.
I remember zellers fro yesteryear. It was BUSY, now it's a ghost town since wal mart came to town. Some of the electronics section is so old they have dust on product and the pricing never changes. Things that sold for $80 10 years ago (not exagerating) are still $80!
Save on foods is so tiny you can't shop there on a busy day. There's even one isle that 2 shopping carts cannot pass each other.
No complaints about the liquor store. It's well organized and close to the back entrance which is where the best secret parking spots are found. -

Lynn Valley Centre is a strange place. It has almost everything you could want in a shopping centre wrapped in some really dated decor. I love Save On Foods, Kin's Market, Westlynn Bakery, and Westlynn Meats & Seafood. I haven't been around long enough to begin to understand why there is an old Safeway in operation across the parking lot. Zellers, Shoppers, and Winners come in handy if you need household goods or discount clothing. The Black Bear Pub and Oshin provide some decent dining options. However, I do prefer Lynn Valley Pet Foods & Supplies across the street over the Pet Habitat in Lynn Valley Centre.

This tiny strip mall has a mix of mix-match stores and restaurants. I merely ate some pizza and walked through the supermarket. It is simple enough to get what you need and get going. It is especially nice to have the library right there so that you can get a lot of errands done all at once.
