I am really a Lushaholic.  I love my Lush products and go back to my favourites time and time again.

I can definitely understand how some people may be sensitive to the smell of the store, but I am not - which is funny because I am very sensitive to synthetic fragrances!  Lush scents do not bother me because they are essential-oil based and not nasty chemical based.

The prices may be a bit off-putting at first, but the thing with quality products is they go a lot further than cheap products!

The staff at this particular location are lovely and very helpful.  Many of them even remember me when I go in, and remember products I have used in the past - I find that kind of customer service to be impressive and is a huge drawing factor.

Let's just start off by saying it's not for everyone! A lot of people are put off just walking by this store because of the overwhelming scents that are clustered together in one small shop in White Oaks Mall. If your nose is sensitive perhaps going in briefly to scout out possible likes and dislikes than ordering online is better. Also ordering allows you access to some 'retro' products that they no longer carry in store but are amazing. IE: Ne Worry Pas Bath Bombs.

Basically it's an eco-friendly, natural and freshly handmade skin care products company. Everything from solid shampoos, soaps, bath bombs, toners, moisturizers, bubble baths, perfumes etc. My personal faves include: Whoosh shower jelly (freeze it for a near forever shelf life and a quick wake up call! lol), Ne Worry Pas bath bomb, Avo Bath Bomb, Crash Course in Skin Care face mask, Breath of Fresh Air toner, Godmother Soap, Godiva Solid Shampoo Bar, Comforter Bubble Bath, You've Been Mangoed Bath Melt, Snow Fairy Shower Gel, Ice Blue Soap, Tea Tree Toner Tab (quick money saver: Put this into a spray bottle when done as a quick face steam and you have toner for that week :D ) and many many more.

A lot if not most of the products are Vegan as well so you can feel good about that. Ask the staff about it if unsure, they are also usually really good at giving you demos/samples if unsure about products. I've had some hits and some misses but more so hits with this company. I like this location but there are some I like better like the Queen Street one in Toronto, as well as the access to retro products online so therefore that's why 4 stars not 5.

Dear Lush: every time I walk by your store I nearly pass out from the smell. It seems like I should be able to walk around without collapsing into a sneezing fit. But instead I have to plan my paths so that I don't accidentally walk by a Lush.

Most of the time if I don't like a business, I can just not go in there, and everyone's happy. But Lush, you insist on following me around like some kind of creepy, scented stalker. For that, here's your one star.

It is definitely an olfactory overload when you first walk in! I have many friends who can't even go inside, but I tend to go in like a heat-seeking missile, picking up the products I know & love (Honey I Washed The Kids & Rock Star soap, for example). The staff will help you find the right product for your needs or the perfect scent for you (or whoever).  But really, the best way to shop there is with your nose. Smell everything and you'll get to know what appeals to you. And great gift ideas abound at Lush from a couple bath bombs or some bubble bath or a pre-wrapped gift box.
