I was in the Aberdeen Centre food court, and felt like having Congee. I'm no congee expert, but theirs didn't wow me. Fine, but nothing exceptional. Part of the drawback to having congee in a food court is that there are no condiments at the table for me to try out. I'm not proficient enough to know which ones I want, and use them before leaving the counter.

They had a deal for adding a side dish to your congee, but they were all starchy choices, like fried noodles or rice. Really?? I would have gone for some pickles or fish balls or something, but the congee is enough carbohydrate for one sitting.

Was craving congee and saw this at the food court of Aberdeen and thought "why not?". Decent congee, well-flavoured (though I suspect MSG), and a good amount of fish pieces for $4.25. $6.50 gets you a congee with a side dish of stir-fried rice / noodles or or dough fritters or a pan-fried turnip cake. The place seems busy, but the people are friendly and their menu is in both Chinese and English so you don't feel intimated ordering.

Everytime I visit the food court in Aberdeen, I rotate between 3 different places, -Lung Kee Congee & Noodles being one of them.

Their noodles or congee are extremely affordable and it doesn't take too long to make.  I usually order their #18, which is seaweed, fishball soup with vermicilli.  It's a light enough meal that I don't feel gross after eating it and filling enough that I don't have to eat 1 hour later.
