Review from Drea S.
I totally love my lunapads and my diva cup. And I want every woman to know how rad these products are, so they will try them too.
Buy them ladies!! They're awesome!!
I am never going back to using those toxic disposable tampons and pads ever again.
The lunapads are designed to be not too bulky, and confortable. The leopard print ones are my favorite. Washing them is not too much of a hassle at all, and they don't irritate my skin like regular pads did.
It's also not that big of a deal to tuck them into the little pouch they give you and stick it in a pocket of your purse.
The Diva cup rocks. Once you get the hang of using it, it's the most amazing thing ever. It's comfy, it's not made of horrible bleached toxic material that pollutes your body and the planet (and did you know that tampons make you bleed more? yep!), and you can leave it in for hours, with no worry of it leaking.
Thank you to the amazing women who invented these products! -
Review from Ellen M.
Hello boys and girls, and welcome to Ellen M.'s period. This may be the perfect time to move on to my less disturbing reviews...
This is a good product, and less stuff in the trash = great.
The pads and liners are fine, pay for themselves in less than a year and last a long time. I haven't tried the Diva Cup though. Even at my age, I am not ready to be confronted with a GOBLET of my uterine lining. "CHEERS TO AUNT FLO - RAISE 'EM." I'm not saying you shouldn't consider it, because maybe it would be a lot of fun, but count me out.
I'm glad to use these when I'm home, but not when I would have to change them mid-way through a workday - no way am I going to tote around bloody rags. That's when I embrace disposable.
Maybe I'm just not woman enough to get it, but Lunapads did not make me love my period. In fact, I'm ready to give up my period. Birth control pills that limit periods sound like a fabulous idea.
So, four stars for the opportunity to drastically reduce what women throw away every day. If all women used these even one day a month, imagine. -

That's the disclaimer.
I love and hate my Diva Cup. I love that it obviates the need for tampons or pads. I love that I don't need to spend more money buying tampons every month or buying in bulk at Costco. I love that in 10 months it will pay itself off.
What I hate is the absolute mess it makes on heavy flow days. Since the cup holds only about .5 oz, on a heavy day it quickly overflows...causing leakage and a mess when you go to take it out. Since I work during the day, there is a need to remove it. I was just grateful no one was in the bathroom when I went to wash my hands. -

Boys beware - woman stuff to follow.
After much encouragement from Lisa B., I tried Lunapads. They are everything she said they are: more comfortable than regular pads, less work than I expected, cute and cheaper than pads in the long run.
The Diva Cup is wonderful as well. I won't go into specifics, because I don't want to freak out the boys, but it's far more comfortable than a tampon and you can leave it in longer. After 2 days, I got used to inserting it and taking it out. -
Review from Paula H.
i seize any opportunity i can to blab on and on about the virtues of reusable menstrual products to anyone who will listen, and canadian http://lunapads.com is the best place to plunk down your hard-earned loonies and give them a go. each of their products has an extensive FAQ, and if you have questions not covered there, you can always talk to someone who will be happy to help you out. after emailing them a question about proper insertion of the diva cup, a rep promptly called me and answered my candid question with ease.
the selection of pads and liners of varying absorbency and cuteness [loads of fabric options] can't be beat. as someone blessed with a heavy flow, the diva cup is wonderful -- no need to worry about leaks! i haven't had to buy any tampons or pads in five years!
