Review from Larry L.
I have tried and tried to find this place on Yelp with my Iphone and dissapointedly they get a 1 star for not showing up my favourite place in Yaohan.
If it wasn't for this problem or bug, I would have tagged and checked in and written a review a long time ago.
Now, this place is my very favourite place in the entire food court. Why?
The guy at the counter, when he's up front and not working in the kitchen has the coolest accent.
He talked to me about the type of food they served and when I was in Xian. I remembered how much I loved this regions food.
The food is excellent and affordable. I have tried a number of soups, mostly the spicy ones and the lamb skewers and the hamburgers and dumplings and so on.
All good.
The unfortunate thing is that very few will come here. Only the ones who know, will know to come here. It's a hidden gem in tucked in the corner of the food court. Historically places that have found there way in the corner of this lot haven't done well.
Partly due to the crazy crazy rent they had to pay at one time, and another because, it's in the corner.
They do well for themselves and they've got a fan in me.
I always look forward to their food and their hospitality. They're a real friendly bunch of folk, especially if you tell them you love their food repeatedly. :)
Read Marc D's review and you'll get a succinct description of what this place is all about.
You have to dare yourself and give it a try. I'm pretty sure, you'll come out of the experience with a different viewpoint of what Chinese food is about and that it's not just about chicken chow mein and Wuntun noodle soup.Listed in: Asian Noodle Spots in Richmond

* Good Roujiamo *
The food courts of Richmond continue to provide a never ending stream of little food stalls to sample tasty little snacks. This is one of those stalls that doesn't even have its name written in English on its big yellow sign (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...).
I ordered the lamb roujiamo (2 for $6.50). The bun was a bit denser than the version at some other spots around town, and tasted like they had panfried it to really crisp up the outsides. The lamb itself had a pleasant cumin flavour and was juicy. They also had stir fried it with onions to sweeten things up a bit. There was no noticeable chili. Overall a nice lunch/snack. While I may return again if in the area, if I were going to specifically seek out lamb roujiamo I would opt instead for Want Want's version instead: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...
