You know there is something a little magical about a children's accessory place when you yourself, 36 yrs old and counting, wouldnt mind having one of those quilted blankies to carry around and dare i say snuggle up to. maybe its just because they have monkeys on almost everything there. or is it because everything looks soft and feels soft and i had an urge to jump in one of those cribs there and play with an airplane mobile and then fall fast asleep.
there seemed to be a lot of sales going on up to about 25% off some stuff which already seemed to be priced pretty reasonably for its being handmade and someones personal vision. in fact they were just gearing up to fill a booth at the One of a Kind Show.
They do have many types of garments, all decked out in the signature Lumiere monkey style. They have little dresses, sleeping jumpers, blankets, towels, bibs. As well, they do envision an entire design for a babys room, and in so doing, offer you crib accessories, changetops you would put on change tables, and other accessories.
If you are looking for an all out baby extravaganza store, this isnt it; it is, rather, a more personal and limited take on the genre. Whats there is what is Lumiere, her style, her vision, her caring hands creating caring products, that incidentally, came about when she, after moving here from France, couldnt find any baby clothes that she liked and in turn, started making her own.
