Review from Jason L.
For the longest time Lully's was closed for renovations, or so we thought.
A hookah bar has now opened in its place. What a shame. Hopefully Lully's comes back soon.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Oh, sorry, how very rude of me! I had my mouth full of a Lully's Christmas Dinner sandwich and couldn't talk. Just let me wash this down with a can of cherry coke, imported by the proprietor himself on trips down to the US of A. The best way to enjoy a Lully's - with a friend. Lucky for me I had the lovely Katy H with me and together we were able to share said sammy above AND a Montreal smoked beef with mustard and some hotness - not to spicy. The sandwiches packed well, stayed together and made for a messy and delicious mess as we ate. And the cole slaw? I may have taken those back to my hotel room with me and wolfed them down as a midnight snack - may have ;)
It was cashola only for me, but that's just because the debit was down. Not to worry, I would have happily walked even further than just down the block to support this teeny-tiny establishment. The very rad dude (who's name I've forgotten) was more than helpful, sharing what's in each sandwich and making suggestions for how we should eat em. Have I found my new lunch spot in Victoria - I'm licking my chops right now in a devout YES!Listed in: A Victorian Weekend

Review from a t.
We had a hotdog. Our friendly server gave us all the options one might need to create THE hotdog experience. In just a few minutes, there it was -- in a pretzel bun with the fixin's. Perfect. The coleslaw was on par with my companion's grandmother's -- tangy and tasty, not gloomy. I loved the zing and snap of the pickle.
The coke in a bottle was wonderfully cold. For US folks that want ice, too bad, so just enjoy. -

This tiny joint really lives up to it's name. Everyday has a special for just $10 and it's worth every penny. The special comes with coleslaw, pickle and drink. Saturday is the Montreal Smoked Beef on Rye. Between two fresh slices of rye bread slathered with mustard of choice is a mountain of Montreal Smoked meatiness. My friend, being from the QC province, loves the stuff, so it must be as close to Montreal as it gets in BC. The coleslaw tastes fresh and made with vinegar instead of the KFC creaminess found in most restaurants. And the drink, nothing is better than a cold Coke in a glass bottle.
