Hip hip hooray! So glad to have another North End option for Asian groceries! Brand new, bright, & clean! Excellent express and dim sum to eat in or go.  Only complaint was they didn't have egg tarts in the bakery and those are my favourite!  I had to ask 4 different employees and no one understood English or at least the way I was describing it.  Each employee took me to another who then took me to another.  Finally, a young - teenagerish - checkout clerk was fluent in English and knew exactly what I was talking about and said they don't have them :-(

Their dim sum/to go area was filled with fresh delights - Got Pho to take home to my sick hubby, a vermicelli bowl for myself, steamed shrimp dim sum dumplings, and salad rolls!  I was quite impressed with the value and freshness upon arriving home.

I uploaded pics of all my finds :-)

Lucky Supermarket just recently opened a new location on the north side of the city so I decided to check out the place.

In terms of the size, it's really big, probably the largest Asian grocery store  in Edmonton. It's also clean and brightly lit unlike the 97 Street location so that was a plus.

Everything is well-organized and they have a huge selection of fresh produce and cheap too if you wanted to gather some ingredients. Along with a seafood, meat and bakery section, the store is packed with a wide variety of imported Asian food, noodles and yummy snacks. They also stock non-Asian stuff like Kelloggs cereal and Coca Cola though I'll rather buy it at Superstore since it's expensive here and it's not what I came here for. There's a food court by the checkouts so you can buy a small meal and eat there too.

The thing I hated about the place was the parking lot. The lot is blocked to the east & south of the building so you'll have to use the Tim Hortons entrance or the one on 140 Ave to get there. It was also chaotic and finding a empty space was nearly impossible unless you waited.

The store is a bit far away from where I live but I would love to go whenever I get the chance.
