We've had many visits to this amazing park and it's really one of my favourites.
There are a lot of different trails in the area, so read up and pick the ones that best suit you. The terrain is varied from flat gravel road to gnarly tree roots, uphill climbs and plenty of stairs too.
The Fisherman's trail takes you along the rushing river, along some board walks and this creek can really flow fast! *Please leash your dogs. Many people bring dogs to this location and they love to run up to the water's edge but it moves pretty fast so beware.

You really get a sense for seasons in this park because of the diverse flora. Trails can be slippery on boardwalks but enjoy the gorgeous moss in the trees & the old growth stumps and nurse trees.
It's a fantastic walk approximately 7k. I recommend the loop that includes stopping by the suspension bridge. What's not to love about that :-D

Unless you plan on Rollerblading avoid the paved Seymour Valley Trailway.  It is really busy allot of the year!  The only benefit of the Seymour Valley Trailway is the excessive outhouses really.  Head along the Fisherman's Trail and enjoy the boardwalk and views of the Seymour River rushing along most of the trail.  When you get to the spur 4 junction you can either cross the river or connect back up with the Seymour Valley Trailway (maybe do a loop).  I would recommend crossing the river and checking out either Spur 4 Branch or Suicide Branch for a different experience and less crowds.  If you follow Spur 4 right to the end you arrive at a Gate for the Seymour Watershed and the trailhead for Vicar Lakes.  This can be done either on foot or on a bike.  If you like walking long distances like I do this is a great walk but most would probably rather bike this route as you can easily end up doing at 30km loop

Wow. I saw a black beer and two deers while walking on the trail. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend bear spray! The trails are mostly covered with bushy branches so I don't recommend short sleeve shirts or shorts. There are tons of mosquitoes right along Seymour river, so cover up! The scenery is quite amazing and very much untouched by humans from logging and development.

A great, easy to get to, beautiful escape from the city.  I have been going to the LSCR (or Demonstration Forest) since I was a kid.  Recently I have gone to bike the paved path when I want a cycling excursion that doesn't involve cars and stop lights.  It's serene, cool (even on hot days, it is much cooler here in the trees) and relaxing.  Stop at the end of the trail to sit by the Seymour River before you turn around and head back to the parking lot.

There are lots of trails to wander around on as well, and plenty of outhouses, if you are like me and have a bladder the size of a peanut.

No dogs allowed, sorry.  But that could just be the paved path, I'm not sure.

Formerly known as the Seymour Demonstration Forest, the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve features one of the best multi-use recreational trails in the Vancouver area.

The paved 10 kilometre path starts at the parking lot at the top of Lillooet Road, and winds through that gorgeous rainforest scenery we Vancouverites love so much. The trail has some ups and downs, but it is easy even for beginner cyclists and rollerbladers. Hikers are welcome here too, and a number of easy walking trails branch off from the paved mainline to places like Rice Lake, Lynn Headwaters, and the Seymour River.

On a recent rainy Saturday, my friends and I had the trail practically to ourselves. My friend was hauling a baby in her bike trailer, and for anyone with children, the outhouses and picnic facilities spaced along the trail are ahem, convenient.

At the end of the road, you can either turn around and head back, or continue a little farther into the woods to visit the salmon hatchery. The gravel trail there is tame enough to take kids in the trailer, and the route is well-signed, so you don't get lost.

Note: The district is currently constructing a water treatment plant near the trailhead, and the road is gravel. Don't bring a car that you don't want to get dusty or muddy!

This is a great spot for dog walking, running, mountain biking...  I usually head up with a friend and her two dogs and always have a great time. Dogs can run off leash which is always a treat and everyone is respectful of others. Highly recommend it!!

I've had this review left unfinished for a couple months now, so I don't have too many words to say about this bike trail. But all I can say is, I felt like I was a fairy riding a mountain bike through a magical forest..
