The salon has been around for quite a long time and the staff are really professional and a lot of fun at the same time. While waiting for your haircut, they have a comfortable waiting area and always offer you a beverage. Great hair cuts too of course!

I've been living in Vancouver for more than half a decade and the Lounge is the only place I will ever go. And further, Mari Fuji is the only one I'll let even come close to my hair. They're always incredibly friendly - even when I just pop in to say hi - and are excellent at making all clients feel welcome (even my dog)! Mari listens to me when I explain what I want and is completely honest with me regarding what will or won't work in my hair. LOVE this place!

I went to get my hair colored red while we were visiting Vancouver over Christmas, and I am so happy with the results. I had Conrad as my stylist, who was great. My hair went from ho hum to stylish and bright, and I feel like a new woman. ;-) Also, the person that shampooed my hair was amazing and should consider a career in massage therapy. So good!

History
Established in 1997
The Lounge was a collaboration of Martin Hillier and Lance Blanchette to bring together a group of creative talent with like minds in the beginnings of what is now known as Upper Yaletown.
Originally located across from the imfamous and iconic Richards on Richards. The Lounge began its humble beginnings in an area that they remember being warehouses, bars and ladies of the eve. In time the area like The Lounge changed.
From 2 people now The Lounge employs 13 stylist of varying tenure and specialties and continues to influence the industry locally, nationally and internationally.
