Hosted a Christmas party and ordered a bunch of appetizers for the dinner portion of the event (instead of a sit-down catered meal). Asked for a sample menu with price quote, which we then tweaked to our tastes from their full menu list, which they sent as a PDF on request. Got great advice from the company on the amount of food to order -- they talked us down a bit, and we ended up getting the perfect amount. Picked up the appetizers the afternoon of the party, and everything came on simple, classy white dishes, well-wrapped and stacked for transport. Once unwrapped, everything was revealed to be nicely presented, with touches of banana leaves here and there, that kind of thing. Best of all: food was soooooo delicious. Everyone was most impressed, and the action of the party was definitely centered for a while around the unveiling of new dishes. Highlights: chicken satays with peanut sauce; firecracker prawns with chili sauce; chicken karaage; unusual but delicious dips for the vegetable crudite; amazing cheeses and cold meats served with very fresh baguette.
Worth mentioning that they were willing to do a lot of the planning over email, with a minimum of phone calls.
