Review from Melissa C.
Richmond, BC
Came to Lost Lake in the winter for some sight-seeing. It was amazing to see the entire lake covered in snow. The calm and quiet scene was a perfect end to our day. Of course there wasn't a lot of people there so me and my friend took full advantage as we played and climbed over the piles of snow. But be careful because it's still a lake underneath so don't fall in and become a Yelpsicle!
Not much to do in the winter than that, but there was an open faced, log cabin for you to sit in. Overall, close drive from the village and nice stop to take in the beautiful sites of Whistler. -
Review from Sachi M.
I guess this is the first time I came in the middle of winter. It was closed to regular people, and open only to snowshoers and cross-country skiers doing the loop around the lake, and ice fishers (all requiring a paid permit). In 2011, this started on the first Saturday of December, but the ranger said it's usually later (depending on the weather).
I remember going in February one year, and it was open, though there still were lots of snow and ice. I guess the re-opening depends on the weather, as well.Listed in: FTR (or Second or Third), the Whistler "Usual Package"
