Sidebar: This review is not to slander Ms. John. I am reviewing her customer service in regards to her way of doing business.
I was in need of a notary public to have documents verified as I am out of the U.S. I google searched for notaries in the Vancouver, B.C. area and Ms. John was the top notary listed.
I was impressed with the concise and clarity of her website. I am giving her one whole star for having a complete website with straight-forward services and having her contact information readily available for the public.
Despite her website, the client experience from my first email to my phone call with her was less than professional. I sent her an email with a request for an appointment and rates for her services. I didn't receive a response, so, I called her the next morning to follow-up with my email. She answered her phone promptly like I was calling her personal line. She was aware of my email but stated she "couldn't do it".. just like that. After a few stammers, she stated she "couldn't do it until next week" because she was going to be out of town.
Regardless of her absence or whatever her excuse may be, as a potential client, I would like to have had the opportunity to experience a more professional response rather than a casual shrug over the phone. Sadly, I was disappointed with her customer service, specifically her response etiquette.
