    I am a Logitech Universal Remote fan. When no other universal could find a code for Starchoice, Logitech did. I have run all my equipment including my FTA equipment, and have never had a problem finding an interface. The only equipment it does not work well with is a unit equipped with RF remote. That is the only limitation.

    If you are looking for a less expensive and truly universal remote, Sony makes one that can actually learn the codes from any other remote, including Syntax-Brilliant (Olevia) and other hard to read codes.

    I guess my experience has been totally different.

    * Universal my @#$!@#$!!!! *

    Ok, so I finally bought into all the hype about getting a Logitech Harmony all-in-one remote to get rid of the clutter of a remote for my receiver, TV, Tivo, DVD player, CD player, etc.

    What a great idea - a single remote to control everything easily.

    Before buying I carefully checked Logitech's online database tool to make sure all of my equipment would be compatible.  It said every single piece of equipment would work.  Yay!

    Future Shop had a sale on them online, and it was time!

    So I put in my order, waited 5 days and was excited when my new remote arrived.

    Imagine my disappointment when I entered all of my details into the software that helps set up the remote and it immediately came back and said my receiver wasn't supported.  Boo!

    Why does the pre-sale database say it is supported if it isn't?

    I called Logitech and after a LENGTHY hold time I spoke to a tech that said the reason it shows as supported is "Because we have an entry in the database to explain why it isn't supported."

    Um......WTF?!?!?!?!?!

    Boo!

    I just spent $30 at Wal-Mart getting these LS11 speakers by Logitech and my Cat chewed threw the power cord 20 minutes later!

    No biggie, Logitech says they have a 2 year "limited" hardware warranty on the speakers.

    When I called customer support to get the power cord replaced, they told me it was un-replaceable and there was nothing they could do!  I find that pretty ridiculous... I understand some of their items not being replaceable... but a power cord seems  like a reasonable thing to have on stock.

    Such bullsh*t.  So mad. $30 down the drain!
