I'm a bit of a lighting junkie, so this store is heaven to me!! I could spend an entire afternoon there; their selection is so fantastic. All of the sales staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but my favourite is owner Jodie, who will spend as much time with you as it takes to find the perfect lighting solution for your home. I just posted a photo of my latest purchase (a fabulous, romantic crystal fixture with a laser-cut metal drum & black fabric) on facebook, and people started commenting not only on how gorgeous it, but also on their own purchases and experiences from Living Lighting! A true King West neighbourhood gem....stop by for a looky-look, and don't forget to say hello to Fritz the Pug!

For being in the center of the Condo Boom on King, I'm surpised this place isn't more crowded. After 8+ years, I decided I need a light in my spacious condo living room.
The electrician I had lined up did give us some tips, but we totally missed the mark on what we ended up ordering, partly because of the sales staff at Living Lighting.
They DO have a large selection and my S.O. was able to pick out a light that really did work with our space. There is apparently only one person who works/owns this place that knows much, though.
She started to deal with us, but had to leave us with an associate while she helped someone with light bulbs. (!?)
We hesitated a bit when the guy totally couldn't answer our questions, but we plunked down a big deposit on a special order light.
When it arrived, pick up was easy and there were no problems.
However, our electrician freaked out when he saw the base. He had to do some major reconfiguration based on how he was going to hang a 75 pound fixture from our concrete condo ceilings, given the shape of the thing.
He is the one who pointed out that the lighting store should have know better about how this thing is hanging.
I love it, but I'm still a little scared it will fall.
Would like a little more help, please. -

This is a great location, with great selection, and the BEST consultative lighting support. I tried their patience people and they just kept up with me...
Jodi and Nina are insanely good to the customer. I couldn't buy a light anywhere else even if I tried! -

A huge selection of lights and fantastic customer service. No pushy sales tactics here. I asked a bunch of questions and boy did they know what they were talking about (in fact I even learned a few things about ceiling fans). Saw the lamp I bought somewhere else for $80 cheaper here.......Walked out today with a great and inexpensive ceiling fan to replace the 'granny version" I have at home. A bonus, they have a pug named Fritz who is super cute.
