Review from Stephanie C.
Toronto, ON
Religion ain't my thing. So, why am I reviewing a church?
Well, for starters, Little Trinity Anglican Church in Corktown is one of the oldest surviving churches in Toronto. That deserves some cred. It was built in 1842 and holds a plaque from the Ontario Heritage Trust. The church is an Evangelical Anglican church and they're pretty active in the community, whether it's organizing youth groups or events.
But, again, why am I reviewing a church if I'm not religious? I performed there last night with my choir (choir!choir!choir!) at a holiday performance. Near the pulpit, there's enough room to hold a small orchestra of 20 people playing stringed instruments and 70-80 people singing contemporary and traditional Christmas songs.
The pews hold at least 100+ members, and in the balcony, there's room for another 50 or so people. But that area was occupied by the Corktown Ukelele Jam who accompanied us and the orchestra. They were great.
You can imagine that the acoustic are good too. I don't think I'm stretching the truth in saying that we all sounded fantastic.
Everyone who volunteers at the church to the event's organizers were fantastic. We all had an amazing time.
