This place is my favourite independent coffee shop! First off, it's at a great location. Situated on Main and 33rd Avenue, it's just a couple blocks away from your Main St. shopping experience. Plus, it's right near the corner so if you're taking the bus, you don't have far to go!

I've been here on a couple of occasions -- sometimes with friends, sometimes by myself -- but every time, I am greeted by the same friendly staff, before and after taking my order. Service is just A+ here.

I usually have their Spanish Latte, which is a bit like a white chocolate mocha, but better, I say, especially with the addition of whipped cream. Since they've opened, Little Mountain has also been adding more to their menu -- they do have their own white mocha now, caramel macchiato, and other lattes, for people like me with a sweet tooth.

Their donuts are also a nice treat; I especially like that they're not too giant in size. The first time I went, I enjoyed their brie and portobello sandwich (better when toasted!). In the summer, they have gelato, which means they get another thumbs up from this girl. Needless to say, I'll definitely be going back again!

give this place 2.5 stars.  We were in the hood and were craving JJ beans but thought we'd be practical and save driving 20 blocks each way (had to come back to that area) to get to the closest jj beans.  This place was rated 4.5 stars so figured it should be good.

Wasn't bad but the mocha's (iced and hot) were not worth 4.5 stars that this place has been rated.  Too sweet not enough coffee taste/aroma.

Next time we'll drive the 20 blocks.

I stopped by this little shop shortly after it had first opened, and I've got to say I was very impressed. The gals working were uber friendly, and upon their recommendation I tried my first ever Spanish latté. Now, other reviewers have mentioned that they found it to be too sweet, although I found mine to be just perfect. Coming from someone who doesn't like overly sweet coffee, that is saying something!

While there, I just couldn't resist the urge to try one of their delicious-looking pastries. I mean really, why even BOTHER resisting, right? I selected their lavender doughnut, and it was incredible. It has a nice, delicate flavour and was definitely better than anything you'd find at ol' Timmy Ho's.

I highly recommend popping into this shop if you find yourself in the area.

Still in love with this place.

I'm sure I've said everything that needs to be said, but just in case I haven't...

My best friend and I drove to Vancouver from Calgary for Thanksgiving. I brought her here a few times and got her hooked. So on our last day, before hitting the road for the drive home, we stopped at Little Mountain to get some coffee and donuts for the road. (Who needs Tim Horton's?!)

When chatting with the owner, I mentioned that we were driving to Calgary that day. She, being an incredible sweetheart and obviously devoted to making people happy, gave me extra donuts for free!!

Again, free stuff isn't necessary and doesn't always make a great experience, but this did. She wasn't giving them to me for any reason other than that she's lovely - after all, I'd been there almost every day, she knew I loved her already, haha. It was just a super sweet gesture that you don't see too often.

I have encouraged my mom, who lives in the area, to go here as often as possible. I may even have to ask her to mail me some donuts. Honestly, this is an exceptional little place, and I love it. Go forth, lovely Yelpers, and eat lavendar donuts.

No more donuts!! I was a bit disappointed with the fact that they discontinued their donuts but had a raspberry whoopie pie which made up for it. I think whoopie pies might be the next hot thing! You watch! Muffins looked delish as well. Latte was perfect. If you are in the hood, def. stop by

Tucked away in an obscure corner of Main and 33rd. Little mountain coffee is a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a small snack. I had the Spanish latte that everyone has been raving about. I'm not a big fan of coffee so the latte is a nice sweet alternative. I also grabbed one of their carrot walnut muffin. the service was prompt and friendly. Definitely a must try

    * Now with lavender *

Ok, the toffee chocolate donut (Photo:  http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) was so good that I just had to return to try another variety.

This time it was the lavender donut.  Yes, lavender.  The cake donut had a lovely natural lavender flavour and was even topped with some dried lavender for good measure (those are not purple sprinkles!).  Delicious - and so reasonably priced at $1.  Photo:  http://www.yelp.ca/biz...

The espresso was as good as last time.  I'm bumping this spot up to 5 stars.

I drive by, like literally, many times, knowing where this is going to work, but never stopping, until now! I came here for the lavender donut, and I came out with much more, and a smile. If you drive along Main Street, and pass 33rd in the last two months I bet you probably have passed this joint up too. The sign in some ways looks aged, as you may think it is an old place, but when you enter, it is a long, pretty seating coffee shop with many eating delights.

What makes this place for me, right off the start was the people who work here, great attitudes, some great chit-chat to the point your paying for your treat, or whatever beverage your having here. The great selection and presentation of their doughnuts is something that is hard to not buy one to go along with your coffee. The croissant's here, excellent, I can't think of anywhere yet in the city with these flaky delights like this, and they do have cheese croissants and the times I have been here, in the afternoon, there are no more, so I will have to stop in the wee morning to pick one up! They also have gelato and other delights, like wraps and pies that I may have to come back for.

It looks small from the front, until you go inside, and it extends, and also has a patio in the back. Wait till the condo complex is open across the street, and I will bet you this place is packed, these people are getting a great place to hang out.

Spanish Latte and Mocha's. Not too bitter, not too sweet :) I think a perfect combo. The medium might actually be too big. So start off with a small, and add a specialty $1 donut instead :D Ive got to try the white chocolate rasberry donut. Nice, and perfect amount of sweet.
Would love to come back again if I'm in the area~

This is my kind of cafe.

I was warmly greeted the second that my foot crossed the threshold. The next thing that they did after welcoming me was offer a glass of ice water - a very nice gesture on a hot day.

They use Ethical Bean coffee beans and know how to pull them. A thick, rich caramel crema topped my smooth tasting espresso. Little Mountain also uses only biodegradable products for their to- go items, another plus.

They serve soup, sandwiches and gelato, but the pastries won me over immediately. They source a lot of them from the Black Rook Bakehouse and they are truly drool inducing. After reading Marc D's review I knew I had to try their Ethical Bean sourced organic chocolate toffee doughnut though. Only $1, this perfectly sized organic doughnut should have it's own place on the food pyramid, it was that good. I've eyed up the ginger white chocolate cookie for my next visit!

The shop is attractive, clean and spacious. They have a small outside patio in the back. I didn't have a chance to scope out their bathroom and check out their wi- fi situation, so I will ratchet back this rating to a 4.5 for the time being.

I didn't realize this small coffee shop open around the corner but just tried it out.

They severed ethical bean for reg coffee and it was good. The espresso and double chocolate donuts were tasted much better than Tim Hortons.

$1 for the mini donut.... wow, that's good to try more flavour.

I don't have enough wonderful things to say about Little Mountain. I have tried their Spanish latte & their traditional latte as well. Both so fantastic. The Spanish latte is really sweet but I have such a sweet tooth I really loved it. They serve these delicious little donuts for only $1 each and I tried the lavender and the raspberry & white chocolate. They are really light, not  greasy at all, and the perfect size for a donut. Think about  half to three-quarters of the size of a Tim Horton's donut. The lavender one rocks, it has such a beautifully subtle floral aroma that blows away any other donut I've ever had. It's so unique.

It's a great place to hang out with a couple friends in the back because it's nice and calm and they have a small seating area in the back. I had a blast doing a crossword with some friends here!

The staff are SO wonderful & sweet, too... They are so welcoming and warm. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in town!

Wow,  friendly service,  good coffee and tasty treats.  I live very close to here, so I had to give it a go and see what little mountain coffee is all about.   I was impressed,  it's a small, quaint, local and has outside seating.. perfect for dog owners or those who walk their cats.

    The doughnuts
First off,  the doughnuts were good.  We ordered 1/2 dozen, which consisted of:

    2 lavender
These were tasty, I'll defiantly order more next time I visit.

    2 strawberry white chocolate
These were not too sweet, perfect balance.  Reminded me of a good strawberry jam.

    1 chocolate toffee
Not my favorite,  the chocolate is bitter and super sweet.  I had only a tiny bite but came to the conclusion that I'll pass this one over.  My girl had the same idea, too sweet... and bitter to top it off.

    1 maple
Good doughnut,  it's like eating a pancake breakfast. Nom Nom!

All the doughnuts are more dense the the standard doughnuts you get at other places, more cake like.   However they are not nearly as greasy.  We're told this is due to the low fat fryer they are made in... in addition to that they are all organic and fair trade doughnuts.

    The coffee.

We ordered the Spanish lattes,  very sweet and tasty, much like a white chocolate mocha.  It's a normal latte with condensed milk and whipped cream(whipped cream optional).  If you're not used to having sweet drinks,  I would stay clear of this one.  If you like your coffee sweet you'll love it.

    The service

Very friendly and informative.  The women behind the counter explain their menu and gave us plenty of smiles.

They have other pastries and some pot pies that I'll try out on another day.

    4.5 stars.

Came here due to the good reviews on Yelp.  Not sure what to make of it though. My boyfriend and I arrived and it was empty, ordered our drinks, and were told they'd be brought over to us. Just as we sat down, 4 people came in and gaped at the gelato flavours like it was the first time they'd ever seen anything like it. Kindly, the lady serving explained all the flavours to them, and then served them all with their food. Meanwhile I'm sitting there, in full coffee fever, getting agitated.
*Finally* these people sit down with their food, when in walk another 3 people, who immediately get served their coffee (which was just normal, straight coffee, so fine). Still, that's 7 people served who came in after us.

BUT when the lady finally brought over our drinks, she acknowledged the delay by upping the sizes of them with no extra charge. So that was nice... This may sound crazy, but my Spanish latte and the boyfriend's mocha were actually too sweet (I didn't think such  a thing was possible :P). So....it was ok. But I won't be returning, sorry!

Hands down, the best amercano mistos (or they like to call it 'Canadiano') on Main Street. I absolutely love this place! The owner is so hard working, sweet and sincere. You walk in and feel such warmth and welcome. There was a mentally challenged man standing in line in front of me ordering and he was a bit slow, but the lady owner was just so patient and caring with him. You can tell she must be a very experienced mother because of how she handles things with such ease. There are many coffee places closer to me, but I make the trip down here not just for the best coffee/pAstries & friendly faces, but the fact that this establishment really cares and is aware of their community. You can tell by the biodegradable cups, the fair trade ethical coffee & the exclusive organic foods they only sell. Everything is fresh here -- no shortcuts nor sacrificing quality to save a couple of dollars. These guys really take pride in everything they do. You will see yourself if you take a few minutes to talk to the owner.
I also noticed a negative review on here regarding the election signs posted out front and to me, it seems odd that someone would sign up a yelp account just to post a negative review about it. Cheesy tactic on part of the opposing political party.

I was excited to try out this cafe as I live in the area and there is not much else around it.  I've been a few times now, and am still not quite sure about it.  First of all, the baked goods are amazing: try the muffins and the croissants.  Baked off site and brought in daily, they are fresh, flavourful, and delicious.  I've heard the panni sandwiches are also tasty though I haven't tried them yet.  My problem, however, is with their beverages.
