Lindsey recently did makeup applications for my mother and I for my father's surprise 60th birthday. I have already raved about Lindsey's makeup but I will say it again...I looked so smokin that night (boyfriend concurred)!!!
Also, my mother is still RAVING about how she looked that night. Honestly, my mother is a beautiful woman and very well kept but after her makeup application she looked like she had a face lift or something (in a good way).
Can't wait till my next event so Lindsey can do my make up again :)
Oh, and one more thing! I was a total nut right before the surprise party and Lindsey took control of everything...she told people where to go, what to do and it took the stress way off! Just had a LOVELY makeup lesson from Lindsey Jones, a smart, savvy and super nice makeup artist. She showed me a whole new way to think about eye makeup - one that helps enhance natural beauty and not look "made up".
What else could you expect from someone who assisted Bobbi Brown for a couple of years? Am so excited to start trying her new tips!

Like Michelle W. I was also blessed enough to meet Lindsey and she was absolutely AMAZING! Lindsey definitely knew what she was doing and did a flawless job by taking me step by step through the process. She explained in detail what she was doing so I can actually learn how to apply makeup myself!! Talk about teaching a person how to fish!
In the past, putting on makeup has never been an easy task. I use to think it was the shape of my eyes but apparently it was my technique. Instead, Lindsey showed me the nuances and secrets to creating a natural look that would still compliment my features. For example, she taught me how to put on fake lashes correctly and how to apply foundation to look fresh and lively.
With my asian features, Lindsey worked her magic and showed me graciously the trick of the trade by sharing all the inside secrets that she had learned from the business.
I highly recommend Lindsey Jones to anyone who is looking to be glamorized for a special event or who just wants to learn the art of makeup because I can strongly say, Lindsey certainly knows her craft!!! -

I met Lindsay at a Yelp event and she is awesome. So down to earth, so friendly and so professional! She did some eye make up on me and while I don't use make up on a daily basis, she still showed me how to do what she was doing!
As she was putting my make up on, she talked me through the process and let me watch as she applied it. She's essentially giving me her secrets to putting make up on.

I have always loved collaborating with Lindsey professionally (I am a photographer), but recently, I had the gift of getting my own personal makeup lesson. I have done the same, boring makeup routine since high school and now feel so much more excited to put on my makeup in the morning thanks to a few fresh tricks from Lindsey. She was fun, energetic and lovely (which I already knew from working with her), and I was shocked at how quickly our three hour afternoon flew by. I recommend her to all of my bridal clients- she is the best!

Okay so it's not like she actually needs another glowing 5-star review but listen up, guys and girls, if you need a make-up artist you won't do better than Ms. Jones. Ever since the make-up lesson I took with her (wherein I took copious notes), I've received no end of compliments, particularly on my flawless skin -- and as we all know, one can have stunningly done-up eyes and lips but flawless skin's where it's AT.
Pro though she may be, do not be put off by her impressive resume and price; this lady's manner is so warm and inviting, you'll feel like you're bffs from the get-go.
Most of all, at the end of it all you'll look and feel exactly like yourself, only a billion times better (and will somehow convince yourself that this is the REAL you and that other non-made-up version is some kind of sad, pathetic fraud but whatevs).

For my 58th birthday I hired Lindsey Jones for 3 hours to help me pick out, learn to apply and purchase all new makeup. She came to my apartment and efficiently set up shop and then began her magic. She asked about my lifestyle and listened to my responses. She then began picking out the perfect type and color of concealer, foundation, bronzer, etc., for me. She then taught me how to apply each product. She even went shopping with me and helped me find what I needed.
I was thrilled with how natural and fresh my face looked after we were finished. I have waited a month to write this review, however, because I wanted to be sure that I continued, on a daily basis, to be as happy as i was at first with the products Lindsey chose for me. I didn't want my affection for the lovely and fun person Lindsey seemed to be on first meeting her, to inflate my review of her skills and artistry. Although part of the fun of the whole experience was Lindsey herself, the main reason to hire Lindsey is for her skill, artistry and what I call "Lindsey's magic."
She took my 58 year old face and within an hour had made me look much fresher and brighter than I'd looked in years. I continue to be as happy today with the entire Lindsey experience as I was on my birthday nearly a month ago. I highly recommend Lindsey Jones for that special event, for a complete makeover of for teaching you important tips and techniques. -

I have worked with Lindsay Jones on multiple gigs. She always shows up on time and blows the clients away with her amazing talent! I frequent NYC often, but when I cannot and I have a client that needs a talented make-up artist I know I can count on Lindsay to capture the clients true beauty. She not only has a great eye for beauty but a warm personality to make anyone feel like they have known her for years. Whenever clients sit in Lindsay's chair they immediately feel like a long time friend.

Lindsey did my makeup, as well as my two roommates, for a holiday party we had recently. This was the first time any of us had our makeup done professionally and we really don't wear that much makeup in our day-to-day lives. That said I was a little nervous that the makeup would look heavy or unnatural/scary. I couldn't have been more wrong. Lindsey made us all look absolutely beautiful! Like a better looking version of myself. She even applied fake eyelashes which were dramatic but so fun for the occassion. In addition, Lindsey's confident, bubbly demeanor and efficient application made this an all-around enjoyable and positive experience. Thanks Lindsey!

Lindsey's work is beyond flawless. You will look photoshoot-ready when she is done with you, I promise that! She truly is a makeup magician. Lindsey works hard to make sure that all of your needs are met with ease and efficiency, and is even willing to travel to wherever your event is being held, making the experience fun and stress-free. Lindsey is truly amazing as a makeup artist, as a conversationalist and a professional. She is able to evaluate your style and adapt makeup to compliment your look and face structure.
I have had my makeup done by Miss Jones for four years and trust no one else to match my skin tones to the correct concealers and foundation. When I want to try a new technique, she is able to help me along with tips and the correct makeup.
She has also done makeup for models for me during photo shoots. Her makeup turns out incredible in front of a camera. I find her to greet each situation with open ears and make the best of the event.
I highly recommend Lindsey Jones as a makeup artist for various events. Plus it's always fun to be around her lovely self. -

Lindsey did my makeup for a street photo session in connection with our engagement. It was so nice to deal with her via email and was even better in person. I felt like we were long lost buddies! The work she did for me was so beautiful I really didn't want to wash it off at the end of the night. I really felt like a beauty queen. I've recently changed my hair color and she has given me new color ideas for matching makeup. Would I recommend her services? You betcha. The pleasure will be all yours.

Lindsey did my makeup over the weekend and instead of saying 'your makeup looks terrible the way you did it' - she really really really nicely told me how to make it look better and how to accentuate my eyes that were a similar color to hers. She suggested great products for me too.
My skin is extremely dry because of the change of weather and she spent a significant amount of time applying and massaging moisturizer on my face and it felt incredible!! She's amazing!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Lindsey J is one of the most thorough, professional and thoughtful make-up artists I've had the pleasure of working with. Unlike other make-artists, she listens to your thoughts, and works them into her fantastically keen sense of style. She uses top notch products (Bobbi Brown, Nars, YSL, and beyond) and has an extensive portfolio, from brides, to runway and high-end editorials. Pay her a visit and you're sure to walk out looking like a goddess. Did I mention she comes to you, and is beyond accommodating? I seriously love her.

I've only had positive experiences with Lindsey Jones makeup artistry. Lindsey is talented, creative, professional, and efficient. She genuinely cares about her clients and goes above and beyond to ensure you feel beautiful and confident after a session in her makeup chair. Now that she's left Bloomingdales I make sure to call her well in advance, because her business seems to be keeping her pretty busy! Highly recommend!!

I hired Lindsey for my most recent photo shoot and she was fabulous. She came on time, was super professional and took instruction but also let me know her expert opinion. I gave her a reference photo and she went to work on the model. The result was perfect-just what we talked about but even better. She brought everything that was needed, actually showed up with a suitcase of makeup and tools! She has a great personality which is super important when you need to talk to a person for 30 minutes who is up in your face the whole time. Lindsey is a find, can't wait to use her again!

Lindsey did my makeup for my wedding party and I was thrilled with the results! I told her what color I'd be wearing (orange) and that I didn't have a specific look in mind. I trusted her to create a look that complimented my features and suited my style. I wanted to try lashes-- something I've found some makeup artists shy away from. But Lindsey applied them with confidence and expertise.
I found Lindsey a pleasure to work with, and look forward to having her do my makeup again soon. -

Lindsey just did the hair and makeup for a wedding I was involved with. She did a wonderful job! The bride's hair and makeup held up for 16 hours--in fact, I had thought that she'd gotten a touch-up between the reception and the afterparty, but she hadn't. Lindsey's work was completely natural, not cakey, and made us feel beautiful. Plus, her personality was really wonderful and she was fun to have around.

Lindsey was the make-up artist on my wedding day and she did a fabulous job! Starting with my free trial, she was very professional, took her time, and offered her expert advice without being pushy. I knew right away that I wanted her to do my wedding day make-up. But, as most brides do, I was starting to feel unsure about colors and last minute details DAYS before my big day. After telling her abut my last minute concerns, she immediately made time for me to come in and try some new looks. On the day of my wedding, she came early to set up and made me feel so relaxed and at ease. She did an AMAZING JOB. I felt so beautiful in person AND in pictures. Thank you Lindsey!!!
