In the past I have been to many salons in Ottawa for consultations for hair straightening on my coloured and naturally thick, frizzy, and curly hair. All the places I went to refused to work on my hair and I was recommended to go to Linda's Hair Design to try out a new form of straightening, Japanese Hair Straightening.
I was very pleased with the outcome. The original hair that was permanently straightened remained straight for over 10 months and I only needed to redo the grown roots. I was worried that my hair would be damaged after the straightening process but my hair was healthier after than before the treatment.
Linda did an amazing job! She is meticulous and the salon has a great environment. I recommend anyone who has the toughest, curliest, and thickest hair and wants to get it permanently straightened to go to Linda's salon. You won't be disappointed! -

Linda recently did Japanese Hair Straightening (Thermal Reconditioning) to my hair, and I'm happy with the results. She says she's been doing TR for ~15 years, so I felt comfortable trusting her with my hair, and I'm glad that I did! Compared to previous times I've had my hair straightened (by other stylists at other salons), my hair feels much healthier afterwards - even when it's wet.
I'll be going back to see Linda when my hair grows out and requires straightening again.
Edit: my profile picture is old, it shows my hair BEFORE being permanently straightened.
