Still one of my go to bakery in the city especially for cupcakes! They still have one of the best quality cupcakes and trust me, I've tried my fair share around the city. I think Lilac Bakery has the best cake to icing ratio and most importantly, their cupcakes are moist! The only disappointment I've had was when I arrive late in the day on a Saturday afternoon and there weren't many items left; this only happened once out of my many visits in the past year. This is a popular bakery so the lack of selection I faced is more a testament of their popularity. Otherwise, they almost always have a good assortment of cupcake flavours.
The cupcakes are still $3 each. The classic chocolate (dark chocolate cake with chocolate frosting) is still a fave. My boyfriend still raves about the Chocolate & Peanut Butter cupcake that has a great PB buttercream with chocolate drizzle. I love their red velvet cupcake - this one is very popular as it usually sells out quickly. It's a nice change from my default chocolate selections as it has a moist red coloured cake matched with a very yummy cream cheese frosting!!! Love love love. Some new flavours are the Oreo cupcake and Pineapple cupcake - all delicious without being overly sweet.
A new discovery of mine is the "incredible edible." I think it was about $3 for a generous rich square of chocolate layer, and peanut butter and graham cracker base. If you are a Reeses Peanut Buttercup fanatic, this is the bakery rendition of it. The graham craker mixture in there gives the PB layer a nice texture. Have a glass of milk on hand cause you'll need it to finish this incredible edible!

A cute little bakery that feature all kind of guilty pleasures such has cupcakes and slices to name a few. Yes they were good, and yes I fell guilty, and yes we will be going back.

I would give another star but the cupcake I had (peanut butter + choco) had GOOD flavor, but was stale! :(((((
