I' loved the Halifax location, but after moving, it wasn't as convenient of a spot as other salons. Luckily, now that I'm working in Dartmouth Crossing, Life Salon Spa is once again a great choice for me! The space is light and airy. My stylist was friendly and professional and I liked that she explained everything that she was doing to my hair. My favorite part is the warm towel they put over your hair to let the conditioner sink in.
I love that I was able to get my hair done over my lunch hour, and as a bonus, I discovered I got a discount (during certain hours) because I work in the park, so the price was extremely reasonable. Happy to have this as my new regular salon.Listed in: Girl World, Dartmouth Crossing

After moving to Dartmouth last year, I had a sad breakup with my long time hair dresser in St John's, and I had the dreaded task of finding someone new.. women know there is nothing quite like the relationship between yourself and your hair dresser! After trying a few places in Dartmouth, I decided to go to somewhere that I considered more expensive than I would previously consider. I am SO glad I did - and the truth is, the cost is pretty competitive.
The salon itself is stunning - a calming scent takes over as soon as you come in the door, and you're promptly guided to one of two waiting areas, whether you have a hair or esthetics appointment. They also have complimentary beverages (their tea is fabulous) and wine if you wish (for a price). I found the service to be great in all areas - massage, manicures, pedicures, and most of all with the hair services! Great smelling products, the dyes are great on my sensitive skin, and my hair dresser (Cassandra) is fabulous and takes her time to do my hair perfect every time. I will never go anywhere else! -

After getting inconsistent cuts from my regular hairdresser for 20 years (I'm a slow learner), I tried Life Salon Spa. Got a fantastic haircut that actually lasted me 2 months. Love the little extras that you receive at Life Salon- herbal tea or fruit infused water while you wait, a head massage and hot towel after your shampoo and the little chocolate you receive on your way out. I plan to return (again & again)

Now this is what I am talking about! Walking into Life Spa you immediately have a calming feeling come over you. Being and Aveda product based salon which is itself natural you can imagine the decor.
Clean lines rock fireplace, leather chairs and wooden display cases as well as tables makes for a relaxing adventure.
Given a gift certificate I went for manicure. I felt like I had baby hands when I was done. 60 mins of someone pampering you is great. Life Spa is a full service salon which can complete hair,make-up, spa service as well as they have men's services.
Next time for me is going to be one of the special Massages and who know I might even treat the BF to a nice romantic sidexside.
Life Spa is a bit more pricier then your average salon but the experience and the one on one time is worth every penny spent!
