I'm definitely what you'd call a 'casual' gym user. I'm pretty skinny so getting too worked up on looking muscular and buff tends to end in more looking skeletal and sad. Oh also I'm lazy. So when I look for a gym I'm looking for something with a relaxed atmosphere both from the staff and patrons and Life Centre is one of the best examples I've ever had of this.
It's rare to find what seems to be a strip-mall chain gym that doesn't always have someone up in your face offering training or classes but I've never found that here. They never pushed an upgrade or change in my service on me at all. Also the customers were mostly middle aged women or never seemed to push a competitive spirit in the gym. Everyone was just working out and not paying attention to each other, just the way I like it.
Life Centre isn't huge but it has just about every kind of equipment you could ask for. Granted, it does focus more on the aerobic than weight-based exercises but for a casual gym goer it has all you need.
