I've had the burgers their back in 1997, and I can still recall how good it was.
To be honest I'm not sure its this specific location, but i know was a Licks and it was in Mississauga.
I recall the size of the beef, the size of the bun, the songs they sang while they prepared it. even the nice foil paper that wrapped it.
Loved and still craving it! -

My girlfriend and I just got back from dinner at this location. It was a complete mess.
There were 4 people behind the counter, performing various tasks. They were all clueless. One of them seemed to be a Manager, and he took our order.
We ordered 2 homeburgers, both with their feta and tzatziki option, and two tater's and cream.
When the girl was asking us how we'd like our burgers, we told her. We also asked about the feta and tzatziki, since she hadn't put it on yet. She looked at us with a blank look on her face. We asked again, since maybe she just didn't hear us. The person cooking the burgers told her what it was, and she says "Oh! You want it on your burgers?"
The person making the burgers pulled out a tub of tzatziki from somewhere and hands it to the girl. She then, opens it and puts it on the buns. I tell her it should also have feta cheese on it. She says "ok", and grabs a handful of shredded cheddar. My girlfriend piped up about that not being cheddar, and the girl gave us the same blank look as before.
At this point, the Manager comes around again to check on things. We tell him about the feta, and he scrambles around to find two little red containers, and puts them on our tray without really acknowledging us. We ask if the containers are feta or just tzatziki as it appears. He, without saying anything, opens one up, puts a bit on a fork and shows us that there are indeed chunks in it, as would be found for feta. He does this in a very frustrated way, not saying anything. He pretty much just sighed at us as if to say: "Will this satisfy you and shut you up?"
They just leave the red containers on the tray instead of putting it on the burger, but at that point we were willing to prepare the damn burgers ourselves.
After that, our burgers were finally ready, and after pointing out that our tater's and creams have no onions or bacon bits, we get them and finally can eat, having felt like we went through the ordering process 10 times.
We sit down, enjoyed our fries first. My girlfriend went to put feta on her burger, only to show me that instead of a feta/tzatziki mixture that we were assured it was, was in actually ... cottage cheese.
How they could continuously screw up over and over again just for one order, I have no idea. Either way, I decided to email Lick's Corporate, since I was sure that this stuff must be store specific, and that Corporate would crack down on locations like that. Their website unfortunately has no feedback email, nor any way to contact them at all, save for applying for jobs. Even the "Contact Us" tab of their website links to information about the company's beginnings.
That just gives me the impression that the entire company is a mess, not just that location. -

Sun is shining , flip flops are flapping, sunglasses are gleaming, ice cream machines are humming.. what could possibly be missing? A FAT BURGER in the face! with a greasy side of onion rings?
YESSUMMMM.
I came here for lunch and the first thing that made me sigh sadly out loud was how crappy the "patio" was. It was 4 sets of 2 chairs bunch of plastic chairs along the side of the windows.
The ordering process is strange. They holler out your order to the kitchen?? Yes, because I really want everyone to know that I ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings AND a nature burger . Fantastic.
The Cheese burger was so so. I really have had better. The bun was horribly old and way too flaky for my liking. The nature burger (veggie) was impressive. Juicy and not as big as the regular beef burger. But still quite savoury. The onion rings were the saddest part. So awful!!!.
And I was REALLY craving onion rings :(
They charge a $1.00 extra for mayo on the side.
THAT'S how you know it's desperate for money.
Random fact: I think there was some sort of movie shoot going on too. I couldn't stay for long but the scene entailed 2 girls at a bubblegum machine. giggling and sorting through bubblegum balls. They were awful. You could see they weren't into it. Also, her heavy duty eye makeup suggested this could quite possibly be an amateur porno. Who knows.
Final decision: For a juicy burger to your face and/or onion rings, skip this joint. Try Fulton Burger on Tenth line or South St. Burger on Argentia.
