I am a fan of Lettieri at St. Clair and Yonge. I have been away from the neighborhood for a few years and just came back for work and am happy to be able to frequent it again.
The coffee is always good, and they make it however you like. My favorite at Lettieri are the panninis. They use great bread and fresh tasty ingredients. It is about $8 a sandwich, which isn't cheap, but you will enjoy it!
They also offer made to order salads, desserts, and there is a Hero Burger branch in the same location. Lots of tables, even a little patio out front with seating. The staff are very nice and friendly and sometimes, if you're there at an off-hour, they'll give you samples of smoothies and sweets.

I have no major qualms with Lettieri.
Their sandwiches are fine, as are their salads. Definitely recommend their paninis over anything else. Fairly basic place to go for lunch alone or with a few friends. Not a date spot.
Service is fairly friendly, attentive and speedy.

The only issue I've had was the first and only time I ordered a salad. So first of all, the salad was most definitely overpriced. And they charge you extra for anything they possibly can. Forget chicken or dressing. They will ask an arm and a leg for basics that SHOULD be in a salad!
Anyways, after I navigated their salad options and chose one that wasn't too bad, I sat down and waited for the cute Asian girl to bring it to me. She smiled at me as she prepared it, then brought it over a few minutes later. As she set it down, she casually mentioned that they didn't have one of the ingredients that I had requested and she had just decided to "give me a little more of everything else". I didn't really understand what had happened...

She was watching me the entire time. Could have easily asked if I wanted anything instead of that specific ingredient. When I over pay for a salad, I want some recognition that I exist.

Regardless, I will continue to be found here when in search of delicious paninis in the Yonge St. Claire area.

I don't mind Lettieri as a chain.  However, this location definitely does not do it for me.  As another poster has mentioned, the location is shared with Hero Burgers.  What's up with that?  If I want a burger, I'll go to a burger joint.  But if I am looking for a nice coffee experience, I definitely don't want to sitting next to someone scarfing down a burger.
It's a shame because their coffees are quite good.  However, when I am paying over 4 bucks for a coffee, I expect more in terms of ambience.

It's a chain, but a local one, and I can only hope they get bigger. The macha noche latté with a macadamia shot is my favourite, best consumed with a panini. It's nice to go here in the evening as the neighborhood really dies down after the workday, but there's lots of seating so getting a table is usually no problem.

    Free wi-fi too.

I tried Lettieri today after dinner and I expected a little better since the reviews here are at 4 stars. I had a double espresso and my wife a cappuccino; the coffee was good but a little bland - for that I'm not complaining because the lady asked me if I wanted it "long" or "short" and I automatically opted for the first choice, without remembering how people in North America prefer mild coffee over strong, so it was my fault; however, I tried my wife's cappuccino and that definitely wasn't great. She says that Starbucks' is better and I agree with her.

The place itself is shared with Hero Certified Burgers, and that for me is not an advantage - it lacks that "coffee place" feel.

Maybe I'll give them another chance, as there are not a lot of coffee places near here. But Dahso Chocolate Cafe (15 St. Clair W) must be closed for that to happen.

I think the restaurant may have changed management because when I entered it looked like they were remodeling. Now actually this place looks more like a hamburger joint. Oh well.. They still have decent cofee but not good enough for the expense. Maybe they made the right business decision in going into the hamburger biz. -.-
