OMFG I HAVE FOUND THE EQUIVALENT OF HOT LIQUID GREEN TEA ICE CREAM!

The Pistachio Matcha Noce Latte was great and the perfect appetizer for the sushi dinner I was going to have later. As yummy as my Latte was, it cost more than $5 for a small!

As I sat down and waited for my friend I felt sort of anxious... there is nothing inviting, charming or warm about the atmosphere. I wish they would slap some paint in there or add some sofa chairs or something...

Liked to stop by here as I awaited the missus finish up at work. The coffee was ok, never tried the food (I did once buy a banana, but that's more of a Dole Fruit review) but the beauty was the free WiFi and the ample seating - well, ample as in the few seats they had were generally unoccupied.
Went to grab a coffee Monday but the doors were locked. I peeked in, didn't see any signs so just figured they close on Mondays. But I drove by Tuesday and saw the windows lined with "closed for business" type of paper. Not cheap newspapers but that good, brown Kraft paper. So maybe renovating? We'll see...

There's something to be expected of a coffee and tea shop on a corner of a busy intersection, which is not much. I was visiting Toronto for the weekend with my bf and we were hurting for some free WiFi. Needless to say, we popped in the first place that had it, which just so happened to be Lettieri.

Don't get me wrong-- we weren't only using Lettieri for their free Internetz. No, it was also a hot, sticky day so we stopped off for some smoothies and flavored tea. I wanted to get a blood orange and strawberry smoothie but was kindly informed that they ran out of all flavors (yes, ALL flavors) except strawberry. Being that I was 1) thirsty and 2) thirsty, it was all but Hobson's Choice so I had to go with the strawberry. I watched the barista (I like to call them "smoothie artists") work his magic: in the blender went some fruit juice + a single strawberry (for color?) + a WHOLE banana. Last I checked, the dude said they only had strawberry, not strawberry and banana. Hey man, quit being so stingy on the strawberries! Since I had already paid for it, I drank the smoothie, begrudgingly. And it tasted just as I had observed: a banana smoothie with a hint of strawberry. Blech.

As far as interiors go: surprisingly drab for a coffee shop. The tables inside weren't all that clean, unless you like chillin out with crumbs from previous customers on your table. A nice wipe-down wouldn't have killed them. Maybe it was an off day there, but sadly Lettieri didn't do it for me. Except for maybe the free WiFi.

I like Lynda, have walked passed this place hundreds of times before I finally set foot inside, and I'm glad I did. It was cold and I was waiting for the streetcar so I decided to grab a coffee. Went inside and everything about the place is very inviting and the staff are great as well.

The one thing that made me really like this place thought is their "flavoured" espresso drinks. They usually just serve straight up espresso drinks, but I think they had a special white chocolate mocha which I thought I'd give a go. Usually places like Starbucks or Second Cup kill the taste of the coffee with the mound of flavoured syrup they put in but at Lettieri, it was the perfect blend. I had the taste of a great mocha along with a hint of white chocolate. The foam was also decorated which was a plus.

There's nothing really comfortable about Lettieri's. I only come here if I happen to bump into someone I don't know really well and need to take refuge in a clean, unobtrusive, character-less place for a chat.

For that, Lettieri's serves its purpose. Their teas are okay, and the staff is friendly, but the layout is too metallic, shiny and straight for solitary hangout purposes. I've never had a craving to go there myself, given all the homier cafés west of Spadina.

There's something about this Lettieri location that makes my heart pound, in a stressed out way. Perhaps because it is on a highly trafficked corner or maybe it's the coffee, but the popularity of this joint has people crammed in there like confused sardines.

The coffee ain't bad. But I don't think I'll ever go again, not even for a take-out cup. It's THAT hectic.

Lettieri is pretty centrally located on the South East corner of Spadina and Queen Street  West.  In all the times I've been passed by this intersection, I have never been inside Lettieri.

Lettieri is a franchise sandwich and drinks shop. I like to think of it as a smaller version of Starbucks of sandwiches.  It's kinda the hip/cool vibe going on.  Oh I'm sorry, they don't sell sandwiches, they sell Panini's! All their panini's are pre-made and stored in a refrigerated glass display.  They have quite a few options, but it ain't no Harveys or Subway, and it's not custom made fresh to order.

Other than panini's they also have smoothies and juices. There was quite a long lineup for the smothies, so I'm assuming they must be somewhat good.

Seating is pretty basic, food court set up: you buy your food and then find a seat and eat.  All and all, a good place to get a quick to go meal.

I spent about 3 hours hanging out in Lettieri and it really wasn't anything to write home about.

They have pretty limited seating and the service wasn't great.

The washrooms were dirty and dingy and only one of the stalls was useable.

The prices were similar to those at any local Starbucks and if I'm being perfectly honest, after my experience here, I'll just stick to the 'Bucks.

There's a lot of potential here given the ideal location, but other than the basic brew all the drinks at Lettieri are overpriced and there's no ambiance whatsoever - dark, and the seating isn't particularly comfortable. It can also get pretty cold in the winter.
