After watching the grand finale show of the summer, I've decided to give them that last star, and give you all a few pointers.
Why they get the last star:
The fireworks are great, (especially Team Germany), but the impressive/unique thing here is the logistics of everything; you have lots of options here! You can do it on the cheap and just watch from just about anywhere nearby! You can pay the $10 admission fee to hang out anywhere alongside the lake, or you can pay $20-25 for reserved seating with the primo views.
Pointers for y'all:
-Take the bus; you don't have to worry about parking or traffic, and they have tons of buses waiting to pick you up after the show is over. It's really really easy.
-They have several food tents, but they are mediocre and expensive.
-Bring your folding chairs. There are no good places to sit otherwise.
-Get there early. There are literally tens of thousands of people here watching, and you want to get a good spot to watch from! (This was two hours before the show started: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...)
Of course, the last two don't apply if you opt for the fancy reserved seating, which I would totally do next time.
