There is nothing more delicious than their blueberry mint lemonade and salty caramel macaron. I've gone back for those two things more times than i can count. I have never tried their food although I hear it's just as delicious.
Parking can be a little tricky as their small adjacent lot is shared with the other businesses but you can usually snag a parking spot on the street or at the meter. -

Everytime I visit my friend in LA we have to stop by this place for some refreshing lemonade.
They have so many different flavors such as Blueberry mint, watermelon rosemary, peach ginger, cucumber mint, and blood orange. Prices are reasonable for around $2.70 for a pretty large lemonade. Not overly sugary and not too tart. Goes down very smoothly.
I have never had their food but it looks good. I think it's around $4 for one portion and $7.50 for two. Apparently their couscous and paninis are good. They also a variety of diff desserts like cupcakes and macaroons.
Come back again? For sure I need to try the food! -

I had lunch at Lemonade with three of my girlfriends on Monday 5/14/12. I arrived at 11:45am, early enough to get one of the few parking spots in the adjacent lot they have off of Almont Drive. There was a short line already forming. I ordered a two portion plate ($8.50) and split them in half, so I was able to order four salads:
Avocado, Cherry Tomato, Lime - yum!
Cauliflower, Golden Raisins, Almonds, Curry - good taste
Broccoli, Ricotta, Champagne Vinaigrette - good, but thought it would be better
Watermelon Radish, Ahi Tuna, Snap Peas, Black Sesame - good, but wish there was more ahi tuna in my serving.
My friend had the Apple Braised Cabbage; it was a little too sweet and didn't taste that great. My friend didn't finish it.
I'm usually a water drinker, but I had to get a lemonade at Lemonade! I ended up getting the Blueberry Mint Lemonade ($3.00), which I really liked. It's sweet at first, then the sweetness goes away with the mint. I also tried my girlfriend's Watermelon Rosemary lemonade, and that was good too and refreshing, and not as sweet at the Blueberry Mint.
It got pretty crowded inside where you get in line to order your food, and then get in another line to get your drinks and desserts, and pay. Most of the seating is outside.
It was a beautiful day outside, so we found a great table under some shade from an umbrella. We each had a red velvet cupcake, which was very rich and tasty! Overall, Lemonade is a nice environment to get together with friends and eat healthy food. -

Finally crossed this place off my foodie bucket list!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their peach ginger lemonade. Upon first sip, it's shockingly sweet. As you continue to enjoy your beverage, it becomes a smooth, mellow blend of peach nectar, warm ginger, and perfectly sweet-tart lemonade. The dregs have a pleasant heat that's almost spicy.
I had a sip of the blueberry mint and wasn't a fan. It's a bit too grassy and syrupy for my taste, but my friend swears by it.
As for the food, it's the perfect definition of "pretty-girl food": healthy, not too pungent, and light. Despite the abundance of vegetable bunny food options here, I didn't leave feeling empty or starved.
We got two half-portions, a total of four dishes:
1. Broccoli with balsamic and ricotta: My favorite of the four. The broccoli was nicely sauteed, but not wimpy or rubbery. The cheese complemented the balsamic well, and the entire dish wasn't too salty.
2. Seared ahi tuna with watermelon radish and snap peas: A bit too oily from a heavy dose of sesame oil - a little goes a long way! Wasn't a fan of the radish, but it had a bland mellowness that soaked up some of the sesame grease. The snap peas were deliciously crisp.
3. Israeli couscous with mushrooms and lemon: Lightly lemony and a tad smoky from the mushrooms. I liked this dish, but it was a bit too salty and oily to be a real winner.
4. Brussels sprouts: They were brussels sprouts. Good texture, though, and I loved the over-charred bits.
The lemonade, fittingly enough, is what makes this place for me. That, and the fact that there's an abundance of outdoor seating that faces Beverly Blvd. I'm not a fan of the heavy use of oil in their little salads, but a tall, cool lemonade will easily cut that grease. It's worth a try! (3.5 stars) -

West Los Angeles, CA
The last time I came here it was with the intention to try their macarons. This time it would be to introduce my very visual coworker to new foods. Whole grains, a wider vegetarian selection (except for their soups), in a sunny atmosphere.
This restaurant brought back memories of high school and college cafeteria days. only with much healthier food choices and no fear of being bullied. Or being caught in the middle of a food fight.
When we arrived, my very visual coworker commented on the "statue". With my limited interpretation of art, and foodie point of view, I imagined someone had just thrown a pie in the man's face. The leftovers of a pie being the copper colored areas on his eyebrows, neck and shoulders. Found out later, this statue is actually a tree trunk.
It was a little before 12 noon, which allowed time to scope out what was available without undue pressure. The decor was alluring, with a cheerful modern vibe woven throughout it's space indoors and outdoors.
The assortment of colorful salads beckoned behind a glass partition. We looked up very high on the wall above and figured out our options. The signs in this restaurant were placed at all different heights. Some were high up, others at eye level. It was a little confusing set up to say the least. Even the utensils were placed in an area which was unexpected, by the indoor seating. Fortunately the staff were helpful. If you are puzzled, keep looking and asking.
We deliberated momentarily from the many choices available and settled on the Marketplace sides, which, thanks to having read the Yelp reviews before, said they could easily split 2 sides into 4. They readily complied with the request.
I ordered beans, sweet potatoes, beluga lentils and kale. My very visual coworker ordered almost the same (he might have been copied me) however he had 1 substitution - chicken salad.
Came up to the register and initially picked up an icy cup of already prepared blueberry mint lemonade from among 5 flavors. Many other varieties gurgled away in the juice machines behind the cashier. At the last minute I went instead for the watermelon rosemary lemonade.
Soon after I glanced at yet another low level sign. It said they offered watermelon rosemary lemonade available with NO sugar. I asked the cashier if it is possible to trade my already sugared lemonade with one that had NO sugar? She said "yes" and promptly leaned below the counter to a mini fridge. She pulled out a pitcher from which she poured a sugarless version. What I appreciated is that she did not ridicule me.
We sat out on the sunny patio, with it's lemon yellow plus lime green umbrellas and enjoyed our selected salads. Their portions sizes were more than adequate. My very visual coworker said his watermelon rosemary lemonade was very good. My sugarless version was on the tart side. Somewhat as if the watermelon were not fully ripe, though it quenched my thirst. Totally satiated from the nourishing food, we walked back to the office refreshed and rejuvenated.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Los Angeles, CA
Shocking that it took me so many years to visit Lemonade. I remember when they were building the place and I thought "Cool! I love lemonade!"
Maybe I read about the menu and decided it wasn't my type of place....
I'm really a big fan of hot food. At most meals, I need a hot meal or I don't feel satisfied. Lemonade features deli case salads. They have a huge variety of them and you can mix and match.
See what I don't like about the deli case salads in general is this: They all look like mush, they all look old, they all look like they have a TON of mayonnaise in them, they are so oily. And this was true at Lemonade. I had the curried cauliflower (this was the best of the lot), the tandoori chicken with mango (yuck), the braised cabbage with goat cheese (too much mushy goat cheese) and the ginger chicken green beans (prickly and tasteless). I also had some of the braised Moroccan chicken which was good but swimming in oil. Topped it off with an absolutely, positively delicious blood red orange lemonade.
So in all, the lemonade was by far the best thing that I had there. So three stars because I think they know where there strength lies...
I really do appreciate all of the veggie choices that they offer, but they just don't taste like fresh veggies - way too much stuff weighing them down.
By the way, the salad set up and selection is almost identical to a restaurant called Lemon Moon in WLA (right across the street from my office). I don't eat the salads there either....
May go back to try other salads in the "case", other flavors of lemonade or other braises. -

For a healthy, reasonably-priced, easy dining experience for lunch, there are few better options than Lemonade. I love having the ability to try so many different dishes and at Lemonade you are able to split your portions in half. So I had four different dishes, with a lemonade and a chocolate cookie. I sat reading in the sun and could not have been happier!
Very friendly people work here too. -

Went there for the first time and I was overwhelmed by all the food and really unsure of how ordering worked. The people working there weren't really friendly; when we asked which side dishes were the most popular, they just said that they were all popular with a bit of an attitude. Aside from the service the food was really yummy especially if you're into the whole organic, healthy type meal. And the lemonades do live up to the hype!

This lunch spot is easy to get in and out on a work day. They food delivers a healthy punch every time with the luxury to splurge on some truffle mac n cheese or a mini cupcake (which are super cheap!) You simply get in line, choose your sides and pay. Its all self seating and bright and cheery in there. My only critique is they are a bit pricy overall.

Mmm mmm Mmmmm mmm mmmmmmmmm! My girlfriend showed me Lemonade about 4 months ago and as a manly man, I wasn't too excited about trying it. I mean I love Lemonade and all but a place named Lemonade just seemed to girly for me. While it may be girly, it is absolutely delicious!
They have tons of flavors of Lemonade of course but don't worry if you can't decide, they'll mix them for you. Also you can try some before to decide whether or not you like a flavor.
They also have an epic menu with tons of food, much of which is healthy. But perhaps my favorite part of Lemonade is the bakery! We've actually been to the Brentwood location more often than this one but I always get some sweets when we go. Red velvet cupcakes, peanut butter cookies, all types of macaroons and much much more!
Guys..don't think that by going to Lemonade you're forfeiting your man card. If you end up going you're in for a huge treat and I promise you you'll be back.
And Ladies, of course you're going to love this place so why haven't you tried it yet?!? -
Review from JaShin T.
Finally went here for lunch, after hearing so many great things about it. I got two portions, both split so that I could try four different things. Glad they let you do that!
Stuck with the salads, which all looked pretty fresh and tasty, but I can't say that they were all the best thing I've ever had. None were bad by any means - just not incredible. I loved the tandoori chicken, though, and I can't wait to go back to try their other stuff.
Now let's talk about their lemonade. Of course I was going to try one of their many lemonade flavors since it would be pretty stupid not to when they're called Lemonade. :o) Got the Peach Ginger one. Even though I didn't taste any peach or any ginger, I still thought it was super delicious.
When I go back, I want to try one of their cookies and gigantic macarons...and their hot food. Wish they opened later so that I could get dinner here more often! -

Los Angeles, CA
I love the colors and design of this place, and while I was delighted at this, I couldn't help but feel kind of bad for my wallet knowing I was going to pay $8.50 for four scoops of cold salad (the two-portion)... And then $3 for the lemonade, but that was well worth it.
In my two-portion, I got:
-beets, pickled onion, hazelnut vinaigrette: I love beets, but definitely not like this. It made my stomach feel funky while eating it. It actually didn't even really taste like anything, but it didn't taste great, either.
-sweet potatoes and pistachio: I expected the sweet potatoes to be soft, not crunchy. But it was good--it tastes a lot less sweet than it looks.
-purple potato chunks (I don't remember the actual name of it): It definitely filled me, but I did not like it. Like the sweet potato, these potato chunks were hard! And quite tasteless...
-a pasta (don't remember its name, either): Of the four items on my plate, I liked this the most. It has cheese--but not too much--and was very filling, too.
I also tried a bit of my friend's avocado with cherry tomato, pine nuts, and lime, and I loved it. Such a genius idea! The lime flavor is very subtle and complements the avocado and tomato just perfectly. I regretted not having gotten this instead of the beets or potato chunks.
Although not all of the selections may appeal to you, one of the best things about this place is that you're allowed to sample them. You can even sample the hot foods! I really enjoyed the beef pot roast. The olive chicken was, as the guy warned, VERY olive-y. AND you can sample the lemonades. Granted, after two or three sips, everything starts to taste the same when you're just standing there holding up the cashier's line...
I decided on the cucumber mint lemonade, and it was fantastic. It actually tasted a lot like cucumber and like mint--in other words, it tasted pure! I'm actually craving it right now, not even 24 hours later! My friend said that the peach ginger was too sweet and had to add a considerable amount of ice/ water to dilute it.
So, while I cannot deny that this place is a bit pricey and some of the marketplace items (all of the vegetable/ salad choices) aren't that appealing, I do commend it for its wide variety of foods, its beautiful lemonade, its adorable design, and its great customer service.
And if you're concerned that "just salad" won't make you full... Believe me, it will. Especially if you load up on the carb-loaded items like I did.
And they literally close at 7:35. That flabbergasts me. In a good way. -

I LOVE Lemonade. Its like "fast food" but so amazingly fresh and tasty. I'm usually in such a rush, so I love a place where I can just point to the delicious things I want and they pack it right up for me. My favorite thing is to order the 3 item portion but then divide it into 6, which for someone like me who wants variety is great! I go here at least 2 times a week because its so much easier than cooking!

Lemonade is a really solid place to grab a nice casual lunch.
There are so many healthy options that you can mix and match. I'm a huge fan of eating vegetables and Lemonade has a bunch. I ordered the Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts, Sweet Potatoes, and Watermelon Radishes. I also got some chicken as my protein.
What's really cool about this spot is that you can order two sides of veggies, but split them up into smaller halves. What's better than getting more variety! -
Review from Clara L.
The kale salad, the curry cauliflower, the watermelon radish, the caprese pasta, the sweet potato, the roasted turnips, the spicy carrots, the tomato and avocado, the coriander pineapple lemonade...you can't go wrong with anything here at lemonade. I always get the two choices and split them into two so I can get four different amazing dishes to try. I havent had the sandwiches or other hot items but I can say their salad bar selection in itself is enough.
Just make sure you get the guy servers. The girls are mad stingy. My girlfriend got a guy and her plate was full....I got a girl and not even half was filled. Stingy! -

I love this place. I get a ton, nearly 2000 pounds, of food on my plate and I don't feel guilty eating it.
Lunch can be tough, since many people in LA seem have need tables and chairs for almost exactly double the number of people in their group. This makes shade a premium, with four umbrellas for the whole place.
But if I had to, I'd eat in my car. This place is yummy. Service is consistently friendly and cordial. Overall, I'd go out of my way to eat here for sure -

One thing I miss about living in West Hollywood is Lemonade. Granted, I can visit the Lemonade in Venice or Brentwood, but I feel that Lemonade West Hollywood has a special place in my heart. It was the perfect location for a lazy Sunday lunch -- even better on a nice day when I can sit outside and people-watch while I dig into my brussels sprouts, Israeli couscous (I get this EVERY TIME), cauliflower, and the tuna + radish salad (don't remember what it's called).
I really enjoy the fact that I can split one side into two -- more to sample! And I always leave feeling like I ate something healthy for once in the week.
The giant macarons are giant and they are definitely a treat. I always default to the blueberry mint or watermelon rosemary lemonade (if I'm not in the mood for something as tart/sweet). -
Review from Tom T.
Okay, I don't mean to badmouth, but I was kind of confused about this place. A place called "Lemonade" that serves lemonade, among other things. (My friend chose this place, so I had no say.)
And this is where I should have done my research before going to a place.
Walking into this modern place, I was confused at how the set-up was, where one place you get your food, and you have to walk behind you to paid. And how all of these dishes were laid in front of you, like if I was back in school. After the fact, I do kind of understand the concept of trying to make it seem like it was taking memories back when I was in grade school at a cafeteria getting my lunch, but the dishes were a little "interesting".
Not knowing what to do, the person before me asked the server how the ordering system works. He explained that you can have 1, 2, or 3 portions, and you're able to split each portion into half, so if you want to try a lot of things, half the portions. Also, you're allowed to sample a few things before fully committing to it.
As the person took her time deciding what she wanted to eat with her son, I took a few glances at what the display had to offer. Now, my rule is, if there's too many fresh ingredients that I can't pronounced, then I'm not eating it. Sadly to say, there were a lot of those, and I just wanted to get the daily salad. Unfortunately, the server told me that they were out of it, and I was left to pick things that look edible and pray that I wasn't going to met the kiss of death.
I decided to go with 2 portions (and I am looking at the website because I do not remember what it was that I ate, just the first ingredient ): a full portion of the soba noodles with kimchi marinated vegetables, 1/2 of the watermelon radish with ahi tuna, snap peas, black sesame and ginger dish and the other half of a salmon dish that I can't find.
Now, if they were going for the whole cafeteria look, I think they managed to do so within the food, because I was doing what I did back in grade school, just slowly picking at it, and hoping that it wasn't some weird taste to it. I do have to say, the food isn't as bad as it looks, just still shocked at how interesting the concept was.
I did order a cup of blood orange lemonade, and it was pretty tasty, so a big plus.
My friend did come later on, and saw the look on my face when he explained why he chose this place, and how it's gourmet food without the price and the atmosphere. And after hearing that, I do see that.
We split a macaron, which I believe was a caramel salted one. I did like it because it was a bigger size than normal and the filling was a whipped cream instead of a gel-like texture or a ganache, but they should probably cut back on the fleur de sel. I know sweet and salty go hand-in-hand, but there's a limit on how much fleur de sel should be used.
Would I come back here again? If I had a friend to drag along. -

Lemonade is amazing, my boyfriend took me here for a lunch date and I loved everything about it. The food is fresh and full of flavor.
I was hesitant to try the Lemonade because I'm so picky with Lemonade, I can't stand fake tasting minute maid tastes. And I know it's silly because it's the name of the place but there lemonade was so good my taste buds were in heaven.
Yellow is my favorite color so I love the simplicity of the white furniture and the yellow accents. Definitely worthy of all five stars! -

The watermelon radish with ahi tuna and peas...that was yummy too! So good that I bought a separate portion to go =] Definitely good if you love radishes like me! -

Definitely appreciate the concept. Fresh cafeteria food that tastes good and is fairly priced (kind of like the Whole Foods hot and cold food bar but better pricing and more interesting fare). The line moves fast enough and the food, as I said, is pretty well-priced, but nothing interesting enough to make me think to go back. Also, the Cinnamon macaron is not a macaron. It's two snickerdoodle cookies and buttercream in between. Come on now.

Love. LOVE it!!
I was visiting from San Diego, and found this spot on yelp.
I love the vibe, and the look of the place.
It does sort of remind me of a cafeteria, but with gourmet food.
They have all sorts of goodies, sweet, savory, and amazing choices in lemonade! If you are going for the first time, you will be a bit confused like I was, but the people behind the counter were more than happy to explain the system.
I left feeling happy, and not overly stuffed and gross which is a plus.
Great place to go for lunch, either to sit out on their patio, or to take out.
I wish they had this in San Diego!! :( -
Review from Loni L.
This place is so cute. The decor, the font on their cups... the desserts =X The macaroons are like the size of your palm! I heard the pistachio one is the most popular one. I've tried their cookies (really good) and their red velvet mini cupcakes (they're OK- I think they put too much food coloring in it. Totally stains your fingers)
My favorite is their salad entree combo. I love how you can get half portions and mix and match. Beet salad & the Broccoli + cauliflower salad are two of my favorites. Their chili is yummers, too!
& You can't forget the lemonade!! I highly recommend mixing the blood orange and the rosemary watermelon together. For some reason... to me- both of those flavors, by itself, does not taste as good... (the blood orange alone is too sweet and the rosemary watermelon is too bitter) but together, it's delish!! -
Review from Eileen E.
This is a great spot for a light lunch, a bit pricey, but good flavors.
They have a huge selection of cold sides. I got 2 portions of sides ($9) and that made me really full. It may look small, but it was definitely enough for me for lunch.
You can even get a half portion so you can actually wind up tasting 4 of their cold sides which I really liked.
We tried:
Winter squash with truffles (SO good)
Soba noodles w/ lobster and cucumber (pretty good)
Harissa chicken (just OK)
Cauliflower with curry, almonds, and raisins (very light, very tasty)
V really likes the broccoli with ricotta which I really liked as well
V's turkey chili was also quite good
They are also famous for their lemonade. I LOVED the blueberry mint lemonade. V's peach ginger lemonade was just OK. They also have strawberry kiwi lemonade, cucumber mint lemonade, and some other watermelon lemonade.
They also have a super enticing case of dessert
Yum :)Listed in: Reasonably Priced Eats in LA

Seriously... this place is the BEST! Just opened one in Brentwood last year. Everything we've tried is awesome. If it weren't summer we would have had to try the stews which look amazing! I am looking forward to going back in winter or on a rainy day to get some of that goodness.

My favorite lunch spot in the area. So many options, it's always hard to pick! I definintely recommend getting there before 12:30pm, because the line gets long and it's sort of stressful withi everyone trying to pick what they want from the line of salads. A bit pricey, but always SO worth it!

For a healthier lunch, this is the best place in Los Angeles I can think of to go. Salads salads salads galore! The most amazing salads including pastachio sweet potato, truffle lemon couscous, champagne vinigrette ricotta broccoli, and I can keep on going.
The best part is that you can have a "half order" and have up to 6 different delish salads on one plate.

Super cute place to grab lunch on a sunny day (majority of the seating is outdoors) - it's very CLEAN, which is nice when it comes to outdoor cafes.

Lemonade is a great little restaurant. There are tons of side dishes that are healthy but flavorful. The portions are completely on point and you can mix and match various fresh, genius concoctions for a great little lunch.
Additionally, Lemonade feature, you guessed it, tons of different lemonades! My personal favorite is the cucumber mint lemonade, it is pretty delicious.
Last but not least, being centrally located between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Lemonade brings in some attractive, fashionable customers. While the restaurant itself is pretty casual, the patrons sometimes exceed expectations. -

I think it's a trendy place to go. The whole set up is really confusing especialy if it's your first time there and your hungry. The menu was so hard to understand, the group of unfriendly servers rush you thur a fast food line. They get upset if you have no ideal what to order, becaus there menu reads like something of a new age book. Then you have to pay at a different counter wich seems like your going thur a obstacle course where you have to balance your tray of hot food, walk thur a narrow walk way being cautions not to drop your tray on the people who are siting at the only table that is inside. By the time you pay for your food, find a place to sit,YOUR FOOD IS ICE COLD...the ginger peach lemonade was not peachy or ginger. I think they need a better lay out. Maybe some waiters that come to u take ur order serve you then give u a check. Not a good time!

Lemonade is one of those places you can go to and bring home super yummy food for lunch or dinner. I originally became familiar with them from the downtown location. The one here on Beverly is closer to home. The only problem is finding parking in the small lot out back. What I usually do is park in the Bristol Farm lot and just run in and pick up my order. The menu is always changing. The dishes are always freshly prepared and you can have a taste if you want. Everyone is friendly and there are several nice servers too,

So obsessed with this place. Its one of the only quick/healthy/relaxed and reasonably priced options in this neck of the woods. The reason they get a solid 5: FREE SAMPLES! In a town where everyone has commitment issues, this is a genius concept. I usually sample one or two of their salads before deciding on my 2 item combo split 4 ways. The seamless way they manage to get this many rich pretty people through the line and fed as efficiently as they do is really impressive.
All the salads are good and the Ahi tuna is absolutely delicious! Get that. And get a cupcake for $1. Even if you dont want it, just get it. You cant buy anything for a dollar these days, so lets take advantage of this while it lasts!Listed in: SALAD life

Blueberry mint lemonade is all you need to know. I'll quiz you at the end of this review.
I actually got sick after eating but DON'T let that dissuade you from coming here; I just mixed WAY too many different foods (snap pea edamame with sesame, chinese long beans with plums, chicken with squash-grapes-oregano, and nectarine rice with white cheddar-mint) that were all good initially, so this was my fault.
Didn't try any desserts but they looked really good also.
And although I didn't have the buttermilk chicken this time around, I've consumed this in the Venice location and it was very good.
Now, what do you need to know again?

Lemonade is my favorite place in L.A. without exaggeration and I always recommend it to all of my friends. I never eat less than three meals a week at Lemonade between lunch and dinner. My favorite thing to do is to ride my bike to the Beverly location but I will occasionally eat at the Brentwood, Venice and Downtown locations as well.
I always get either 2 salads split (really 4 salads) for lunch or 3 salads split (really 6 salads) for dinner. I vary the salads but I always get broccoli, beat, and shaved fennel. The variety is great and I love love love that most are not lettuce based. The salads are natural (with no preservatives), healthy and filling and just make for satisfying meals.
Again, I love Lemonade because of their salad offerings which is really all I want and thus the 5 star rating. That said, I would caution that the few other things I've tried - stews, sandwiches, etc - were not as great. And frankly, the lemonade itself is not fabulous (too sweet) though the sugar free one is better. -

I love this place! All the marketplace cold dish options (and the options to split portions for even more variety), all the stews (morrocan chicken mmm), and fun lemonade flavors. And they definitely don't skimp out on portions or ingredients. One tomato and avocado dish had huge chunks of avocado--impressive! Everywhere else, people stringently ration them out.
The desserts aren't bad. I've tried most of their cupcakes and they're usually moist but no killers.
Plenty of options to make your meal and variety-full and fun as possible. Fresh, flavorful, and tons of options. Definite winner. -

Oh my, this place is as sweet as their signature drink.
Cheerful white and yellow decor complemented by a clean and minimalist vibe, I'm pissed off at myself for not trying it sooner! I need to get out for lunch more.
Anyways...
The menu is slightly confusing but you can think of it as a classy cafeteria of sorts. They have numerous cold sides to choose from, with primarily vegetable options as well as grains/noodle options and then you can top that off with pieces of meat. They also have soups, tossed salads, and sandwiches. There's A LOT to choose from so it can be overwhelming. The cool thing they do is that you can get half and half of two different kinds of cold side options so instead of getting just one large portion of one thing, you can get four different things for the same price. That's pretty great.
I could tell you every cold side I ordered but I don't remember exactly what they were. Suffice it to say, I ate a lot of beets, something called a watermelon radish (which is just beautiful! Never seen that before) and assorted other veggies and everything was delicious. I also had a generous helping of their truffle mac and cheese. While I didn't really taste any truffle flavor, their mac and cheese is insanely rich and cheesy. I'd say it's an absolutely must try but it's totally going to kill any kind of healthy lunch you're trying to have because when I say it's rich, I mean extremely heavy on the cheese sauce.
Aside from the food, the obvious other thing to try is the lemonade. The selection varies day to day but there I doubt you'd have a problem picking out a flavor. I went with the cucumber mint. The flavor was very nice with a subtle cucumber note with just the right blend of mint, but in my opinion it was far too sweet. It bordered on not being drinkable. Unfortunately before I ordered I failed to realize that you can get an unsweetened version. My bad. I'd go with that option if you don't have too much of a sweet tooth.Speaking of sweet tooth, they also have plenty of dessert options from giant macaroons to pint sized cupcakes for only $1.
Overall I would totally come back here to try more stuff. It's hard to beat coming here on a sunny day although when it's unpleasant outside you're kind of screwed because they don't have indoor seating (though there is covered seating outside). I also like that they ample seating so that even at lunch hour you're more often than not going to find a table unlike similar places in the area (ahem Cuvee). The only real negative is that the crowd is very, how shall we say, "LA" with plenty of self-absorbed and often rude clientele. I'm working on just focusing on my tasty food and not rolling my eyes at them. It's also not the cheapest place. It seems pretty cheap when you browse the menu but the more stuff you start adding the more expensive it can get. I ordered one lemonade, mac and cheese, and two split portions of sides and it was around $17. Ouch. In retrospect I could have done without the mac and cheese and still been full but it looked too tasty to pass up.
At any rate, give it a go and good luck finding parking (on the street only). -

Plenty of hot spoiled women come in here... ergo the 2 stars I give.
This place is like a small fancy buffet with like 5 different forms of chicken that doesn't look appetizing at all.
Customer service was also pretty crappy.
