Superbly delicious macarons. Buy several, since there's a variety of flavours to enjoy!

Other reviewers have noted that it's downstairs at St. Lawrence, in front of the Korean import shop and next to Rube's Rice. You're looking for a little table, not a proper shop, and a nice girl purveying the sweets.

    Well worth the trip!

I came here looking to buy some macarons as a gift for a friend of mine. I emailed the owner, Kelly, in advance about gift box options and she responded quickly with pictures of the gift boxes she had available, as well as the quantity each box was capable of holding.

The macarons looked very nice when I went by. I picked up two for myself, and they were delicious. The only downer to this place is it is difficult to locate in the St. Lawrence market, since it's a stand set up (only on Saturdays) between a number of other stores in a very crowded environment. I'd recommend you give it a try if you happen to walk by it though.

Located outside of the Lively Life store on the lower level of the St. Lawrence Market, Lemon Tree has a small table on Saturdays only. With fresh macarons in lovely flavours, they can sell out before the day's end and leave you empty-handed and regretting not getting there earlier.

Lemon Tree macarons are minimally sweeter than the average, but are also very flavourful. Their shells have a nice crispness to them and there isn't a noticeable pocket of air within the cookie. Great chew and texture on the cookie itself and a decent foot. They have the standard gamut of flavours and special seasonal ones on occasion.

I enjoy their raspberry and salted caramel macarons a lot, but their holiday flavour of brandied chestnut was by far, my favourite. Light on the brandy, but with a hefty chestnut base. Makes me ponder ways to have her make more of this flavour.

Overall, my current favourite maker of macarons in the city.

Lemon Tree Pâtisserie can be found on the lower level of St.Lawrence Market. Joyce and I had a difficult time locating this pâtisserie because it wasn't listed on the information board inside the market. With the help of Google and Joyce's suggestion, we decided to head down the stairs in search of Lemon Tree. When we found it, we were pleasantly surprised to see that it wasn't actually a shop, but a mere stand right outside another store. It was wonderful to see a sweet lady, Kelly, standing next to her creations with an inviting smile on her face. For some reason, I'm more willing to support independent local bakers because I see that passion for baking in their eyes and they're very humble. Joyce and I instantly busted out our phones and started snapping photos of her beautiful macarons. I'm pretty sure she's used to all this picture-taking already since the customers before us were also doing the same, and she didn't mind at all.

Although macarons were the star of that day, Kelly also bakes layered cakes, cookies, and cake pops. The price of $1.75/macaron is also really reasonable considering how delicous her macarons tasted! I tried the dark chocolate and salted caramel flavours, and Joyce had the strawberry in addition to the caramel one. I found these to be just the right texture and not too sweet. I've had macarons that were either too "candy-like" that tasted like pure sugar or ones that were stale. These were perfect. The strawberry macaron had strawberry jam inside, as well as cream! I'd definitely be back for more!

These are currently my favourite macarons in TO as they are less sweet than others.  The texture and flavour of the cookie is excellent and the filling is creamy. It is a pity they are only available at the South Market lower level on Saturdays.  My favourite is the pistachio. Some specialty flaours I have enjoyed are eggnog and gran marnier/chocolate.  I also had some delightful chocolate and almond petit four.
