This place is amazing. Not only do they have any sort of tool you might need for that home project you have on the go. They have kitchen tools, gardening tools and lots of useful things you would never think you even need until you see it.

Lee Valley is on of the places I must visit when I return to Manitoba.
I used to mail order from these folks when they were only in Toronto. The new Winnipeg store placed this greatness much closer - but then I moved and I can only buy from these guys every so often.
They started as the best woodworking tool store out there and their planes set a new standard in the field. But in the last 5 years they have moved into gardening and more. If you just wander around the store or check out their catalogues, I am sure they have a solution to a problem you are currently trying to sort. -

I enjoy going into this store and browsing around, They have all kinds of interesting items on display. beyond that they are one of the few places in town to get a lot of the wood working tools I look for. They tend to provide good tools and in some cases interesting reworks of old tools. Most of the tools are of good quality, and the price is OK. The only complaint is some and I mean a small amount of the stuff they were selling was cheaply made.

Their Peasant Chef's Knife is a legendary bargain, and I got a nice manual push mower for a very reasonable price. Great place to buy gifts!
