What a gem in the middle of this city!
Lee Park borders up between the Oak Lawn/Turtle Creek area and is truly a one-of-a-kind place in the Big D. Not only is it a great venue space (I hear weddings in Arlington Hall, while expensive, are beyooootiful!), but the park itself is simply gorgeous.
I only feel bad for the peeps who mow this lawn, because holy cow...it would take me days to landscape this the way they do! The foliage, grass and gardens are all kept in immaculate shape; making for a breathtaking backdrop or just a place to take your pup and play frisbee.
There's a trail that goes underneath Lemmon Ave across the street and borders the creek...take a run and you'll forget all about the swarming traffic above you.Listed in: My Uptown Hood, Dallas Parks: Not just for…

I had a great time here during the Easter Pooch Parade 2012! I came with Paws in the City to show off the pups we have up for adoption.
This is a gorgeous park and the grounds are kept nicely. I'd personlly like to see some flowers and greenery arrangements. During the Pooch Parade, there were many other adoption organizations flaunting their pooches as well. ;-) There is sooo much space for various tents and vendors.
The only downfall is parking. I parked a couple blocks away and walked to the park. -

I didn't realize these two places were actually combined. I work next door, I've noticed the park but never noticed the conservancy until required to go there for a work luncheon. It was a short walk and the building size seemed good for a crowd of 100 or so. I am uncertain if they do the catering or if that is done elsewhere but it was all okay.
I hope to go back and experience the park when it's not super hot or cold outside. -

I was here for the Wuf Wedding, and was impressed with Lee Park. The park was simple but beautiful and well kept. Parking wasn't difficult, and it was easy to find. Great place for an event.

Beautiful large park on Turtle Creek, near Uptown. Huge lawn area for laying out, throwing frisbee with dog, large stone bench for meals. Cross the street and get the creek and more benches. Shady and sunny areas to choose from. Good for dog walking. My chihuahua gets really excited every time we drive by it.

Could not agree more with Nikki B! I was here last weekend for a wedding reception and it was perfect! The decor and the way she set it up made it a enjoyable spring evening. Vases filled with water and floating candles staggered along the steps outlined the historic building. This venue was perfect for a some what small wedding with about 150-200 guest. The back lawn looked like it would be great for an outdoor wedding or a spring/summer party. I would love to have a party here in the heart of uptown! You actually do not feel as if you are in Dallas surrounded by the trees and turtle creek!

I just moved to the area and lo and behold, I'm a walk away from a great little park. Lee park is simply a great place to sprawl out a blanket to have a picnic, or to walk through with your pup. It's always maintained well, plus just right across the street, there's an entrance access to the Katy Trail. But beware, I've seen owners take their dogs off leash in this area (I don't think this is allowed in this park). However, of all the dogs I've seen off leash, they are well behaved and the owners are just a few feet away. So if you don't mind the cute doggies that come up and sniff you, this is a great place!

Attended a soiree for the Kentucky Derby. The hall was gorgeous, spacious, and meticulously decorated. The lawn was spacious, had a nice view of Turtle Creek and well manicured. Consider this venue for any special event.
