Review from Sheila W.

This place is a wine snob's paradise. Just take a look at their labels: vintage, varietal, vineyard, soil, region, harvest date, brix, oak, tons per acre, vineyard manager and winemaker are all listed, in addition to the number. That is some attention to detail!
If you are left with any questions after a careful read of the label, just ask one of the knowledgeable hosts. If you're lucky, you'll be served by Leigh. Not only does she know her wines, but she's strikingly beautiful.
The wine is served to you in a different glass each time. They stock the proper wine glass style for each type of wine, which is an experience in itself. Prices for a bottle range from $25 to $65, but you have to pay for quality! The Vaïla Pinot Noir rosé ($25) was a delicious prelude to a summer dinner on the patio.
Pinot Noir lovers should definitely make time to drop by this winery. -
Review from K.Allen E.
This was our third trip to Le Vieux Pin and it seems to get better each time. I would give it four stars, but most likely in a few years...let me explain.
The wines we just tasted are quite nice and show well, but I'm also banking on them being fantastic in a few years. Our first year there, they were about the same as now, and over the years, they've aged incredibly!! The Merlot, which used to be called Epoque, was so dry it sucked the moisture out of your mouth...but it reminds us of their 05 which turned out to be one of our favorites!!
The folks in the tasting room are quite nice, well versed, and eager to chat. The grounds and tasting room are, as always beautiful, and the wine quality is close to price point.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Review from Darcy C.
Wow! This is some insanely good wine. If you are a wine fan, you must go here. Best of the bunch for the recent wine tour, and I suspect they will end up on the lifetime favorites list. This winery is focused on traditional French varietals- the same group also will be opening two other wineries, one focusing on Spanish varietals and one focusing on Italian.
One downside, for the not-hugely-serious-about-wine ... you get what you pay for, and here, a bottle is going to start at $50 (for a newly bottled red wine that you're going to want to sit on for three to seven years before drinking) to $150 or more. They say their new release Cab Franc was rated 98, out of the cask. I need to get me some of that.
