I liked this place because of it's mum's wednesday promotion. When my son was a baby it was hard to get anywhere out to a spa to relax. Because of this promotion I could bring my baby with me, get a pedicure, and be able to breastfeed comfortably and enjoy my two favorite things: my kid and pedicures :) It was reasonably priced and the service was decent.

Last year I bought a Living Social voucher (massage/facial package), and had a wonderful and relaxing treatment and I really wanted to go back. This year I took advantage of massage promo (Living Social) and combined with Facial Fridays.
My comments for my recent visit:
1) I go for regular massage (both RMT and regular massage); but this was the first time I'd a massage that began from my legs and feet. Usually massage therapists start a massage from the back/ neck/ shoulder first. Also, it would be nice if hair is automatically covered by a cloth and if hot towels are used to wipe off excess oil at the end of treatment.
2) As for my facial, I was shocked after I found out that products used on my face were the samples/ demo products from the display shelves. Usually spas don't allow 'double dipping'. The amount of mask used on my face was so little; after my treatment, my face didn't really feel nice/soft. Even though it was 15% off on Fridays, I was still expecting using clean (hopefully also unexpired) products on my face. I go for regular facials at least once a month, I can usually tell a good or a bad facial.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Received a microdermabrasion groupon as a gift from a friend, which was nice! Not something I would normally try, but after booking my appointment (nice receptionist!) had visions of years magically taken off my face. I like that they honoured the groupon even though it was expired. Hopefully they understand that pissing off potential clients is NOT what the whole thing is about. As you can tell from reading just about any salon review that has anything to do with a coupon, almost no one is having a good experience with these internet coupons things.
Arrived on time and found the salon locked and had to wait around outside for an employee to arrive. "did you knock on the door?" she quizzes me. Well no, I generally don't to businesses who I would think are expecting me. As I had booked an appointment and all, you see.
The girl who did my service was fine. Service fine. They show you the filter so you can see all this gunk they've taken out or whatever, which turned out to be underwhelming. Honestly, I didn't see anything, which made me worry that something had gone wrong and that nothing at all was done. My aesthetician put a little mineral powder on my face, but all in all, not a "fancy" or "glamorous" experience.
So in the end I just left my tip and wandered out. Wasn't offered any follow up or suggested to buy a package of these treatments, which I would think would be the whole point.
Didn't have a bad experience, but honestly was not given a good reason to go back, either. -

Got the groupon for the dermabrasion.
Staff was friendly.
The lady who did the facial was nice. It is a little out of may way but I may go back again if there is another deal. -

I got a Groupon deal for a microdermabrasion treatment at Le Petit Spa.
It is located WAAAAY out of my usual stomping ground, but for $52 I did the drive.
Nice little spa - what you would expect and it smells nice.
I have had micros at Spa Utopia in the past... it is a full hour and they do five or more "passes" with the diamond vacuum thingy. At Le Petit Spa, she did two, and didn't do some parts of my face at all.
I would travel there for a great treatment at a great price, but not for that. I wonder now though, if I had paid the normal price if I would have gotten their "normal" micro and that perhaps us groupon people got a half treatment? So not really a deal was it?Comment from Nancy M. of Le Petit Spa 12/8/2010

I went to La Petit years ago and really enjoyed myself so now that I have moved from New West back to Vancouver I thought I would go back when I needed my eyelashes and brows tinted.
I got there a few minutes before my appointment as I know parking can be difficult and went to check in. My appointment was 5pm, I waited until 5:15pm with no word from the staff that they were running late or giving me an estimate of my waiting time. I find it annoying that when my appointment is only 20 minutes long that I should have to wait almost that long again before they will even see me. I wouldn't have minded as much if the staff hadn't just left me sitting there with no explanation.
I was greeted by a staff member and shown in to a room. She kept telling me to look up over and over. When I finally said "I am looking up" she told me she couldn't get the cotton pad under my eyelashes if I didn't look up. When I realised she wanted me to look back not up. I have my eyelashes tinted on a regular basis and I have never had an esthtician tell me they were having trouble before.
The dye job was good, I can't fault that. I just found on the whole the staff weren't very friendly or informative. I certainly won't be going back to that same girl. There are plenty of places to get my eyelashes and eyebrows done along broadway that are faster, friendlier and cheaper. When I am paying a premium price, I expect premium service. -

I appreciate greatly that Le Petit Spa took the time to respond to my concerns. I think that any business that takes the time to do this, is pretty good as it does denote that they are cognizant that every organization has room to grow.
However, I will still probably take my business to other spas as it's good for the money, but I do enjoy a few others more in terms of luxury.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I visited them with a friend and we both got a 1-hr massage and a vitamin C botanical facial. The massage was great and it was in a very comfortable room and they leave you little pouches of lavender to take home. However, I especially loved my facial, the girl was very knowledgeable and was able to tell exactly what I needed. I bought some products she recommended. Although I was skeptical at first, I was actually very satisfied with the results. (I visited about a month ago, just before Halloween). Another thing I liked was that the staff were friendly but not really chatty which was nice.
Overall, it was a great experience and I enjoyed spending some time in their lounge area between and after my services. They offered various teas, pastries and chocolates which was delightful. It is a very quiet, comfortable place to unwind. -

I don't know what Spa these ladies are referring to - quite frankly. I have never been greeted with fluffy slippers, robes, cucumber water or chocolates during the times I've had brazillians or other waxing treatments. Ruby does a good brazillian, but the last one was a bit shonky and rushed, so I returned a few days later to get it fixed. To be honest, I think that's just the way it is anywhere unless it's planned at a time when you know when they haven't been overbooked.
I've been to much better locations downtown on even on the West 4th strip... and for something that's on the edge of Point Grey and Kits, I'd expect a higher quality of decor, music, rooms, treatments to 'escape' and level of care. I heard some of the aesteticians gossiping about one of their clients recently, and it just made me self-consious that they'd probably do the same with me. More integrity and quality would be greater appreciated. -

I've been here a couple times for a pedicure or a manicure and they did do a good job. That's why they get the two stars. For the reason why they don't get the other two, let me start with a quote from their website:
"Brazilian Bikini Wax: For the most advanced waxer; this service is for the bold! Perfect for honeymoons, skimpy lingerie or bathing suits, or anyone desiring a, um, "hairless derriere" this service removes every, yes EVERY hair from the front to the back. Nothing is left behind in this service except the cleanest possible feeling and the softest skin you will ever have in this area!"
Let's just say that they did not remove every hair. It was going pretty well, when someone knocked on the door. My waxer said 'just a minute!' dusted me with some talcum powder, and told me I was 'all done!' No, I was not all done, not according to your description. I asked the person at the front desk and she said that, no, brazillian doesn't remove every hair. I felt pretty cheated (I was paying $55 for this after all) so needless to say I did not leave a tip.
To le Petit Spa: either change your description or change the service. -

When I feel like some serious pampering, I head for Le Petit Spa, located right at the heart of Kits, and happily shed me clothes to don the fluffy slippers and robe offered to each client at the door. With décor and atmosphere carefully created to offer the utmost in comfort and serenity, this is the place to visit when a little (or a lot of) "me" time is required.
The spa's many offerings cover a complete range of services, including facials, manis and pedis, waxing, makeup, a variety of massages, reflexology -- if you can't decide on just one, opt for a package and help yourself to several.
The spa offers weekly and monthly promotions, as well as a Loyalty Program, which rewards customers who come on a regular basis. There's even specials for men, as well as "Mummy and Me" appointments.
The licensed professionals make up an experienced crew: Not only do they all have extensive training, but many can speak a second language.
After your treatment, the staff will happily discuss home-care regimes you can do between sessions, and are always pleased to answer any questions you have. A cup of lavender tea, Belgian chocolates, and French petit fours later, you can relax in the soothing lounge until you're ready to go back out and face the real world.Listed in: My Neighborhood

I live close to Petite Spa and I love going there for their massages. On Monday's they have discounts on Massages, and I love them. They ask what areas of your body do you think you need work on and the rooms are very quiet and private. Very reasonable prices and just a nice quiet location. It is a place for some peace. I highly recommend it.
I have never been for any other service. -

I went there in February for Brazilian waxing done as I bought a coupon. The staff were really kind as they notice I have this massive binder with me (I took the bus and was my final exam that day.
The waxer was very kind. She's a little painful, but one of the most thorough and clean waxing I've had so far. I was very impressed by that.
Very clean and sanitized. -

Forgot my gift certificate at home and the lady at the front desk practically bit my head off despite the fact that I had given the card number over the phone when I booked. She could not think of any possible solution. Worst customer service ever! Luckily, another person who worked there stepped in and was able to work around it. I would expect one in customer service to be more approachable.
My facial was good, but the issue upon arrival set a negative tone for the spa experience. Best part was the warm robe upon arrival, but won't be going back. Plus seemed over priced for the service.Comment from Nancy M. of Le Petit Spa 3/5/2011

Disappointing atmosphere for a relaxing pedicure. You'll be staring at cheap bookshelves filled with products that are literally five feet in from of your face.
If you really want to treat yourself to a luxurious atmosphere, I wouldn't go here. You might as well go to one of those cheap asian walk-in pedicure shops. The owner should hire a professional interior designer and clean up the inside to make it the Zen-like atmosphere it should be. If you Google Le Petit Spa, you'll see that the owner posted some photos online...all of them are close-up zoom shots of things like jugs of water and a person sitting in a chair -- none depict the space from a wide angle and that's because there is clutter everywhere you simply can't show a wide angle shot of the spa and make it look appealing to people.
I can't believe they asked me to leave a tip upon phone booking.....Shouldn't the tip be left at my discretion and based on how good the service/treatment is??? When you make a reservation at a restaurant, they don't ask you for the tip in advance to add it to your Visa card. Pedicure was okay for the price - would have preferred if they used the razors to fix the rough spots.
When I arrived, there were 3 staff members loitering in the front room area gossiping and whispering together like school girls. Not impressed. This place needs an overhaul if it's going to market itself as Vancouver's best spa.
My pedicure was ok (there are two women there who are really good at working on rough feet ...I had a Persian woman who did a decent job ) and I'd go back again only for a last minute pedicure if I couldn't get in anyplace else but I'm definitely not motivated to go back. They didn't make me feel special in the slightest. I felt like I was part of an assembly line. -

I used to live across the street for years and went there few times, just because they were the closest to me. Treatments I have had: pedicure and wax, both subpar. Pedicure chairs are located in the common room so you are having your pedi done with people walking around you. Which is fine when it's in a small street mani/pedi joint and costs $30, but not so good when it's salon price. The service itself was so-so, didn't get all my caluses. Wax was even worse. Another time, I came in to purchase an eye pencil from Jane Iredale line and since they didn't have any in stock, the girl at the desk wrote down my info and promised to call me when the pencil arrives so I could purchase it. This was 4 years ago and I am still waiting for the call. Bottom line: if you want to spoil yourself, go to an actual salon and not a small joint pretending to be one.

A beautiful spa with fabulous service and atmosphere! I love going to Le Petit Spa and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to give themselves a little TLC. I have had a massage and facial and both were amazing. The soft music, chocolates, fluffy robes, cucumber water and friendly staff make you feel comfortable and relaxed through the duration of your visit. Prices are reasonable and there are also weekly special like Facial Fridays.

Le Petit Spa is the best place in Vancouver to get a facial. I've tried many spa's in Vancouver to get the best result for fresh, clean, looking skin. Not only has Le Petit Spa provide me with a great experience, they've helped my skin!
I can honestly say that prior to Le Petit Spa, I have never been able to get away from using some sort of foundation (powder or liquid) because my skin just needed that coverage. But after going to Le Petit Spa for the last year, it's transformed from having to use foundation to just using tinted moisturizer to even out my skin... it's amazing! -

My skin will be forever in debt to Le Petit Spa. I found this place on the internet before a girl's weekend to Vancouver. I was a little worried when I spotted it in a tiny strip mall in Vancouver, but immediately upon walking in the front door it was a little strip mall heaven. There is that great spa smell that immediately makes you relax, then you put on your robe and slippers and lounge and drink tea, eat chocolates and cookies and all is right with the world. I got a facial on my first visit and when I walked out not only was I gushing over myself, so were my friends. My skin had never looked or felt so good. I purchased many of the products they recommended to me and my skin has thanked me ever since. I can't wait to go back!!!

I have to say this place just didn't do it for me. After researching on yelp, I had high hopes for this place. I promptly booked my appointment to work out the knots I've accumulated in my shoulders. I drove quite aways to get to this place, which is fine, at least they had a parking lot that I didn't have to pay meter for. I get in, its a nice, clean establishment. Then a tiny girl greets me and tells me she will be working on me. Immediately I am sorely disappointed. Girls like that can never get the job done. But as always, I try to be optimistic, hoping that she has some mad ninja skills to deal with my broken body, and off I went to change into my bathrobe. The waiting area was peaceful, or was it just that I liked the tea and chocolate? Overall this is not a bad spa but the service I recieved (body massage) was just not worth it. She basiacally just went through the motions and didn't relieve any discomfort I had. I left with the place feeling like I needed to book a "real" spa appointment. Im giving it one extra star because I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe they do okay on other uncomplicated services..such as pedicure?

I took my mom here for her 50th birthday for a manicure and pedicure. The manicure was alright but the pedicure they managed to get the paraffin wax all over my entire jacket and all over my mom's jeans - these were two separate people, one for me and one for my mom and they both managed to get wax everywhere. They placed my jacket on a chair right under my feet which were receiving the paraffin treatment. I didn't notice until I went to put my jacket on that the paraffin wax had dripped all over it. They also got wax onto my mom's jeans as well (this was two different people! one woman was giving me my treatments and another for my mom and they both spilled the wax) The wax did not just wash out of my jacket like they claimed it would and they said they would compensate me but I have been waiting for over three weeks and still have seen nothing. I would NOT recommend going here as the staff seem incompetent in basic treatments.
Update: I eventually received compensation for my jacket - it took just over 4 weeks.
