This restaurant is down a little alley, a bit hard to find but so worth it!

My dad the ginger chicken hotpot, so delicious! I had a bite and was so good!  Very gingery though so if you don't like ginger is isn't for you.

My mom had the lemongrass chicken bowl. It looked amazing and she loved it! She would get it again, very flavorful!

My sister had the lemongrass chicken bowl too with an egg roll, she also loved it.

I had the beef pho and it was good. The broth was delicious! The meat pretty good but the noodles just average.

For dessert we had this sautéed bananas which was like bananas in a sauce, kind of soup like. I never would've thought to order this but we did on our servers suggestion. Was so good!

Service was fast, and our server was very polite and friendly. Gave us great suggestions!

Le Petit Saigon, with its vast vegetarian menu, lovely servers, tucked-away location, and boats of chili garlic sauce to be placed on the table at one's request, is absolutely my favourite Vietnamese restaurant, and one of my favourite restaurants in general, in Victoria. I strongly recommend the vegetarian Bánh xèo, veg spring and summer rolls, the hot and sour soup, vegetarian bun--basically, everything off the vegetarian menu is excellent (and vegan except for one or two egg noodle dishes!), and served with more and fresher vegetables than most of the Vietnamese restaurants in town's lack-luster menu afterthought to vegetarians.

The only thing that could bump LPS up to five stars if if they decided to serve lemongrass tofu banh mi at lunch. Given Victoria's limited to non-existant banh mi options, I would basically move in (but please, don't let that be a deterrent!).

Good food :) was a bit pricey .. but the service was amazing!
We went to Ebizo Japanese Restaurant for some sushi, found it disgusting and below my expections and went to Le Petit Saigon since it was pretty much down the street..
My friend and I just wanted some food to fill our stomaches and they absolutely did it ! We ordered a Vermecelli bowl, though it may not have been as large as the portions Pho Hoa offers, but it was delicious and was very filling. The spring rolls were very fresh, delicious and I couldn't say more :)

    Recommend this place.

I've been looking for some good Vietnamese food since I moved here from Vancouver and while Pho Vy has solid but pricey pho I haven't found much else until I came here.

Seeing the dude with the sandwich board parading around Government street made me a bit skeptical but the location is hard to find so i understood once I got there.

The cozy room is tasteful and clean which is an unexpected bonus when I got to Vietnamese restaurants. Even better was that there was quick, friendly service - the former is normal but the latter is an unknown at places like this.

The food was even better - my lemon grass pork on rice came with an edible salad (another surprise!) and a proper spring roll (technically they screwed up on this since I asked for the lemon grass chicken but it was good enough that I forgave right away). The pho and the lemon grass pork on vermicelli served at my table were also very good.

The bill for the 3 of us was $40 all in which is perfectly reasonable especially considering the solid service, the nice room and good food.

All in all, this is a place work going to.

I've eaten Le Petit Saigon over a dozen times and whether dining in or delivery, with only one exception, I've always enjoyed it. The service is friendly, the food comes out fairly quick, the prices are fair and although this is far from fine dining, and there are a fair amount of deep fried options on the menu, I'm always satisfied.

I avoided it for a long time, mostly because of the sandwich board guy who's frequently downtown around the 7-11 handing out promo materials for them, but they're in my rotation of take out type places now.  I generally hate to order combos off Asian menus, but the appy combo and the combo A are my fail-safes here.

My husband and I love this place. It was hard to find a place we loved as much as our old haunt in calgary......where the owners knew our name and gave us christmas presents! But, with that said, we LOVE our new find.  Always good service, always good food. AND they know our name when we call in our order and know what we want. Perfect.

delicious, affordable, vegetarian options, and open past 7pm.

this combination of requirements is VERY hard to find in Victoria, especially affordable and open past 7pm.  do people eat dinner at 4:30pm here?!!

i'd highly recommend the tofu & vegetarian spring roll vermicelli bowl: under $9 and the spring rolls & fried tofu were great.
