Absolutely exquisite museum, grandiose former home of two brothers. I adored Marius' Moroccan smoking room!

The Chateau Dufresne Museum tour was a nice way to wrap up our weekend. The tour guide took us through the family history and the lives of the two brothers who occupied the houses. The rooms and home was nicely restored but unfortunately, the years of neglect left most of the original elements of Oscar's home open for theft and vandalism. Marius' side faired much better because his wife held onto most of the original furshings so they were able to re-create most of the open rooms to look like they did when the home was occupied.
our tour took about 45 minutes and the temporary exhibit was self guided and tied in nicely with the house.
Parking in the rear of the museum is free and there is ample free street parking available which was a rare find for our trip.
If you are going to the Biodome or Olympic Park, you can hit up this place along the way.
