Can't go wrong here. You'll definitely find something here to soothe your immersion into traditional Québec comfort food like cipaille, la tourtière and maple sugar pie.
Enjoyed a huge lasagna covered with thick juicy mushrooms. Very generous portions and very reasonable prices.
ahhh...la Ville de Québec...toujours agréable -
Review from Joe J.
This place is recommended by many for traditional local food. It does do a brisk business with a combination of locals and tourists and is located on a street filled with antique stores, hence the name.
It is a casual bistro with a menu ranging from grilled cheese sandwiches to steaks. We tried several types of Quebecoise comfort food including poutine, cipaille, and maple sugar pie. Their focus is more on quantity for the money rather than quality. For instance, the poutine gravy is institutional and the vegetables with the cipaille would do a british school cafeteria proud. The house wine is really bad, too.
That being said, some of the core items, like the cipaille itself are well executed. The place is friendly and the prices quite reasonable. -

This diner-style spot is always packed and bustling due to it's friendly service and good food. The menu is large enough to guarantee something for everyone and the home cooking style is pleasingly dependable. An affordable go to for breakfast or lunch!
