In the market for a My Little Pony tin lunch kit??? Need a cigarette case with a 1950's Nancy Drew book cover on the front?? Maybe a mid-century ceramic panther?? Well..then you're in luck because Lazy Susan's has all of these items and much more!
I heart this place sooo much...everything about it is just total awesomeness..the variety of new and old items..off beat and quirky..kitschy and vintage...they basically carry everything your never knew you always wanted and MUST have!
I recently found 2 great vintage mid-century lamps..they were on $18 and $21 and in mint condition! I also found a great note book that have a great cover of an old 1950's Hardy Boys book cover...it's very cute...I use it as my Yelp note book...I just feel like a Hardy Boy when I write notes about places I have been to...except I don't get to solve crime and get into crazy hijinks situations...or do I??? -

Ok so their definition of vintage does not really encmpass clothes so don't come in here expecting to find a ton of awesome vintage clothing cause your not going to find it. Expect to find old game pieces turned into jewelery or hankies from a bygone era, gloves and the like.
I much enjoy this little store for I find many oddities for my friends as presents but their new stuff is completely over priced... $27 for a silk screened tee that is much smaller then it should be? No, I don't think so.
Their store is jamed with stuff so allow a little time to paw through all the junk for something worth while... I don't really mean junk i just mean other little jewelery and knick knacks and the like. I come back whenever i'm around and I do love looking through this place but I'm not sure I'm ever going to spend more then $5 on a hankie there... but i'm glad its there cause hankies are hard to find damnit!Listed in: Thrift Thrift Thrift!!!

What they do, they do well: kitsch, t-shirts, hip flasks, purses and one of the most expansive selections of Mexican Oil cloth bags/totes/purses plus a great selection of fun, quirky, vintagey, reworked stuff that makes great gifts (hello, stocking stuffers).
What they don't do so well: customer service.
Yes, I'm a chill shopper but a: Hi! how are you?
Or simple acknowledgment when walking into the store would go over BIG.
*damn Iphone and it's crazy app's, it's bad for business* -

I wasn't quite sure what to make of Lazy Susan's from the outside, but once I ventured in from the cold, I was greeted by a multiplicity of reworked and recreated nostalgia. Around every corner there was something new yet old to behold, from vintage buttons and jewels made into hair pins, earrings and necklaces to quirky and oft-hilarious 1920's to 1970's news, comic and magazine prints to be framed. There is a touch of old meets new in nearly everything that the store carries, with new kitchen wares in kitschy patterns, cookie cutters in dog and fire hydrant forms, old-fashioned candies (Thrills gum anyone?) journals covered in recycled puzzle prints and t-shirts emblazoned with tongue-in-cheek wartime quotes. There are more than enough trinkets, fashion items and gifts at Lazy Susan's to keep you coming back time and time again.

It's easy to fall in love with many of the quirky and crafty shops along Main Street, and one the shops that I am most in love with is Lazy Susan's. This adorable little spot carries all kinds of goodies to win over the creative and playful inside anyone. Some of my favourites include t-shirts printed with funny iron-ons, baby clothes ranging from precious to a bit cheeky, a selection of wooden toys for little ones, and an eclectic assortment of vintage style houseware. For those of you who are a bit crafty yourselves, they carry vintage patterns along with pieces of reclaimed vintage fabric, pieces of lace, patches and buttons to add a touch of flair to any project you are working on. This is definitely a curiousity shop worth the stop, you'll almost certainly find something to fall in love with.

I went to this shop way back in April '09. It is a cute shop with adorable stationary, baby clothes, vintage and vintage inspired accessories and neat kitchen items. Prices were reasonable and I left with neat vintage deadstock hair clips and a chain necklace with a tiny cassette tape charm for less than $20 CAN. The girls I was with left with butterfly hair clips made out of feathers. A great shop in an area with a lot of good shopping.
