Review from J X.
New York, NY
Everyone can end up in a "wrong place, wrong time" situation. In my instance I was accused of pl.220.03, possession of a controlled substance. I made sure to stay as calm and cooperative as possible while going through this nightmare and the following day I began to shop around for an attorney.
After browsing through numerous lawyer's websites, asking friends for references, and making a few phone calls I noticed that many attorneys seemed to carry a "better use my services or your life is over" attitude. It almost worked as I have a good job in the heart of wall street and was scared straight my career would be significantly damaged.
I eventually came across Adam Mehrfar. He took my phone call on a Saturday morning and the following Monday I stopped into his office where he, in full detail, explained to me everything I needed to know about my situation and what we had to do in order to put this in the past.
When I walked out of Adam's office that day with my court appearance in about two months, it already felt like the 500 pound gorilla on my back was gone. I was assured and 100% confident that Adam Mehrfar was going to do all he could to get me the best possible outcome and that was exactly what happened. I was given ACD which meant for me a dismissal with no trial, no plea, and most importantly to me a sealed record that no one would have access to after 6 months of staying out of trouble (basically don't get arrested for 6 months, and trust me, it's not difficult to stay out of trouble in order to put something like this to rest). It went from a potential misdemeanor blemish on my record that could ruin my career to not even a violation.
I'll be honest, I'm sure there's other attorneys out there that could have achieved the ACD for me as well, but with Adam Mehrfar it came out to be my best possible decision and here's why:
1. My phone calls were always answered or returned in a very timely manner.
2. Adam Mehrfar gave me his full attention and treated my case as a top priority. From day 1 taking my initial phone call on a Saturday morning to the very end, he never gave the impression that I didn't have his full attention.
3. I ended up only having to appear at court one time. Adam Mehrfar is smart, aggressive, and won't settle for anything less than our objective.
4. His rates are very reasonable, especially for NY prices. At my initial meeting with him I was never put under any pressure to accept his service or make immediate payment. Adam Mehrfar calmly and collectively explained everything to me and didn't once make me feel already committed. When I decided to go with Adam, the agreement I signed with him was easily understandable and didn't contain any "fuzzy language" that you normally would see in many kinds of written agreements.
5. In total this entire process only cost me about 3 hours of lost time at work (mostly for my travel/visit to my court appearance). With Adam Mehrfar I was able to go about my normal life without having this incident interfere with my personal or professional life.
I could keep adding onto this list until it becomes a book. If you ever unfortunately end up in a rough situation like I had, I'm not going to guarantee you will have the same outcome as I had, as every case is unique, but I can assure you with 100% confidence that Adam Mehrfar is going to do everything possible to work at achieving the best possible result and represent you in the most honest and professional manner. -

Brooklyn, NY
Me and a friend were given disorderly conduct summonses for no good reason by an overzealous Brooklyn stormtrooper cop by the name of Kahn. I'll spare you the details but we are both professionals who feared how a conviction would affect our careers. We were referred to Mr. Mehrfar by a friend, and retaining his services turned out to be a great decision.
Mr. Mehrfar listened to our side of the story and very frankly laid out how things could go. He clearly stated all possible outcomes of going to trial, and was very supportive of our decision to plead not guilty. During the three month wait before we went before a judge I felt very confident with Mr. Mehrfar in our corner.
When we appeared before the judge, Mr. Mehrfar was able to get the charges dismissed. Of course there's no way of telling, but I have a feeling that without Mr. Mehrfar's counsel, the case would have been decided differently.
I cannot reccomend A. Adam Mehrfar enough. Never having been in the slightest trouble with the law, I had no idea what to expect. He deftly guided tus hrough the process without ever coming off judgemental or patronizing. If you find yorself in a similar situation, do yourself a favor and give him a call. -
Review from J K.
Manhattan, NY
Judge: "What does the prosecution recommend?"
Prosecutor: "We recommend an ACD with immediate dismissal"
Judge: (clearly perplexed) "Huh? May i ask why you're requesting an immediate dismissal?"
Me: (striding out of the courtroom) "Thanks Adam"

After 28 years of doing stupid things, I was arrested for the first time a month ago on one of the more ridiculous series of events imaginable. I'll spare you the details* but an umbrella was intricately involved in me being charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief
I arrived at my first appearance without representation, as my arresting officer told me it was the lowest class of a misdemeanor and I'd probably just get a "slap on the wrist". I quickly realized that this would not be quick, easy, or likely to end with a clear criminal record. So I looked through yelp and found Adam. Man I'm glad I did
Adam immediately made me feel at ease. He didn't make any promises, but fully explained the situation and all the possible outcomes (like researching a disease, this information is not "google-able"). He then managed three quasi miracles:
1) Moving up my court date by a month. 30 less days of waking up in a cold sweat thinking my cushy finance job would be pulled from underneath me
2) Making an agreement with the prosecutor about an ACD (usually means you get 6 months to not do anything stupid, and the charges are dropped)
3) Coordinating an agreement with the "victim" (an autistic school) that I make a donation in lieu of damages, community service, AND immediate dismissal (instead of the 6 months)
So again, thanks Adam
*Okay, I won't spare you the details, as the events are humorous when viewed outside of incarceration. While walking home at 3am with my gf (ex after this night) after a long night of karaoke, I realized I left my umbrella in the bar. That 5 minute delay meant we happened across an extremely drunk college kid who found it irresistible to harass my gf. Having been in this situation multiple times--and understanding escalating situations like these are frowned upon by significant others--I tried to diffuse the situation. While successful in getting the kid to leave, apparently my attempts weren't taken well by the gf, and somehow the two of us got in a yelling match. I walked off in a fit of rage, feeling i could never do anything right in her mind, and after turning a corner to get home, swung my umbrella at the jutting entrance of an autistic school, breaking the ceramic tiling. Of course a police car was 10 feet away, and I spent the next four hours in a jail cell. See, the umbrella was responsible for a fight and an arrest within 30 minutes
