Laura Secord is located at the Halifax Shopping Center, on the bottom level.
Laura Secord is one of Canada's Oldest Chocolate Companies.
It was started in 1913 by a man named Frank P O'Connor out of Toronto.
He chose to use the name of Laura Secord because she was a hero in the year 1813 for The Battle of Beaver Dams.
I must say I did not know this until I researched for this review. What a surprise I found when I read the history behind Laura Secord. I would suggest everyone go to their link to read about her.
My hat goes off to Laura Secord for her Heroism and Frank P O'Connor for honoring her in this way.
So down to the best Candy Canes ever. On top of all the great chocolate, hot chocolates they sell, ice cream, candies, the list just goes on, I am not sure I have had anything that is not good.
But this time of year I go especially for the Candy Canes. I buy bunches of them and put them with the presents. They are just the best, vibrant colors, full of peppermint that will make your mouth pop, not sure what else to say. Try them, you will love them.
