Who would have thought a laser eye surgery consultation would be a five star experience!

I had called them to make an appointment.  They told me not to wear my contact lenses prior to the consultation and to bring sunglasses because of pupil dilation.
I then received an email also stating not to wear my contact lenses.
I also received a telephone call reminding me of my appointment.

Currently, the Yorkville location only does consultations and is open two days a week. (One of those days is Saturday!).  Walking down Yorkville Avenue, I appreciated the giant signage that they have at the front..

The reception area is bright and modern.  There is a seating area with comfortable leather chairs.  You can help yourself to a free pen or a fresh green apple as you fill in forms.

Unrelated, there were only two other patients there - smoking hot.
Imagine waking up next to a hottie with your 20/20 vision... instead of  "sorry baby, I thought that was your face", anyways, I digress...

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful!
After filling out forms, they took my jacket and I was moved to a larger waiting area.

The second waiting area had those same comfy chairs, a television, loads of magazines (Ooo Vanity Fair), and coffee and chocolate chip  cookies.

I was delighted by the selection of Tassimo coffee.  I was pretty excited to have my coffee and cookies.

I was then taken for my eye exam.
It went smoothly and the technician did a great job making me comfortable and explaining all the tests.  He explained the difference between the procedures and was very honest about my options because of my high prescription (Eg. Blind as a bat, can you see me?  Can you see me now?)

He recommended the procedure that would be the most suitable for my vision.
My chart still required review from the surgeon to see if I would be able to have enhancements after the surgery was performed.

After the vision check, I was moved to a small office to review the pricing and book my surgery.

PRK with advanced custom wavefront lasik came to about $4000.

The person I was talking to was friendly, informative, and was a joy to work with.  She had the exact procedure done before and offered some personal insights.

After the appointment, I grabbed a bite and headed home.
By the time I got home, they had already sent me an email with the surgeons comments about my procedure.

I was very pleased with the service here.

I encourage everyone to do their research when choosing where to do their laser eye surgery.  I can't wait to have 20/20 vision.  I felt very comfortable here.
And yes, I feel a little bit like an advertisement right now.
Soon, I will be one of those people saying "It's the best thing I've ever done for myself!"
