Recently a group of friends and I spent a few days in Vancouver and stayed at the Landis Suites. The room was pretty nice, the common areas also nice my only complaint really was parking situation, it was under construction and the parking spaces were kind of tight.
The location of Landis combined with the rooms having full kitchens, multiple bedrooms and various amenities make up for the parking.
Bottom line, if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay that's within walking distance to pretty much anything you want to do, it's worth taking a look at Landis Suites. -

We only stayed here for a night, but we had a really nice suite, we had 2 bedroom one bath suite and it was very nice! There was a lot of space and lots of windows! The dining room was like on the balcony, it was enclosed by glass windows and doors. The bathroom was large and clean and the bedrooms are decent. Only complaint is that the light switch are in total random places.
There was complimentary breakfast and wifi and apples at the front desk! The breakfast wasn't too bad, there is the usual coffee, tea and juice as well as toast and some individually wrapped muffins, croissant and what looked like ground beef in phylo pastry... (wonder what that would taste like...) The wifi wasn't the greatest even with the route outside our door. However, the hotel next door had great wifi!
All-in-all, this is a great place to stay and I would stay here again! Recommended. -

In sum: not a luxury resort, but perfect for a guy's weekend in Vancouver.
Good: the price is a great deal for what you get (just 'forget' your AAA card to get a good deal). Large suites, good views and full kitchen and big living rooms. But it's not so nice you feel bad trashing the place.
This place is ideal for parties. -

We were travelling with another couple and staying in Vancouver for a week, so we decided to rent a two-bedroom apartment here. It's in a very central location, within walking distance of the main entertainment and shopping areas and the ferry to Granville Island, and they offer a complimentary shuttle service to the central part of the city. A fitness room and indoor swimming pool and hot tub are open from 7:00 am until 11:00 pm. Our apartment had a combination living/dining room, well-equipped kitchen (we filled the refrigerator with fresh fruit, cheeses, and snacks from the Granville Island Public Market), two bathrooms, and an enclosed solarium. The manager's special was only CA$169.00 per night which at the time of our stay was about US$155.00, much less than two hotel rooms would have cost us, and even less than the cost of one room in a deluxe hotel. All apartments have two-bedrooms, but if just the two of us were travelling we'd still consider staying here because the location is perfect, the accommodations are very comfortable, and you can't beat the price.
