Try their mille feuille - layers of puff pastry layered with fresh cream. I would eat one every day if I could.
All of the pastries here are really well done. It's my favourite Persian bakery. -

* Short and sweet *
This little bakery tucked away on a side street in North Vancouver makes for a perfect milestone review (#900).
They have a beautiful selection of both Persian and European sweets, as well as a selection of dried fruits and nuts. Apparently they also make wedding cakes.
I got a small treasure box (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) with a variety of unnamed Persian sweets.
While they were all somewhat similar they each had a slightly distinct taste. Some had strong hints of coconut, while others had distinct rosewater flavour, some honey in another, and there was a pleasant pistachio overtone in most. I really enjoyed them! The woman behind the counter was also extremely friendly and really made me feel welcome - as if I was visiting someone's home (who is an excellent baker!).
They have a few tables to sit and enjoy your sweets as well, but my visit was short and sweet! -

If you're meandering down Lonsdale with a little sweet tooth, mosy on down to 15th & Lonsdale to Laleh for a huge selection of mini baked goods. Each piece is about 35 cents!
Catering to little Persia, the lady baker doesn't speak English, just Farsi. I asked for recommendations as nothing was labeled and she was confused. So I handed her $4 and said, "fill the little bag with anything!" She gave me 12-15 treats and I was on my way. The photo I labeled "Yummy" was my fav from my goodie bag :)
