It's quite obvious that Melissa lives in my former 'hood and knows great taste in groceries.
I too have also been going here for years. If I want good Italian meats and an abundance of fresh produce to the products that come from Italy, or Montreal for that matter HAHA!!!. Anytime I have come back to Toronto, it's a must for me to visit here. This included doing some grocery shopping here on Christmas Eve. Geez, although there is turnover from the younger staff, I still recognize some of the same people who work behind the deli counter or at the cash register. They are all friendly staff.
Also it is a great place to people watch, let me tell you. From the Italians who predominantly live in the area to "i nonni" to the new immigrants to the area, mainly Filipinos, it's definitely a place to do it. Nevethless, it is a great place to do your grocery shopping if you're looking for authentic Italian foods. -

Love this grocery store. Best place in the city to buy fresh rabbit in my opinion. Great produce. Good selection of imported goods.
